It would be nice to see Rodgers and Adams both leave, and the Packers unravel.

Ah, the sure sign of a frustrated fan.

Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/22/2022 10:35:47 PM)

I am frustrated with the Vikings, but quite happy to see the Pack ousted.

If you think I like the Packers, or am a Packer fan, you're deluded, or maybe just stupid.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/22/2022 10:44:38 PM)

Stupid is probably going a little far, but what do you say to someone that persists in something they're wrong about ? I'll have to assume Bill is just kidding, and I am over-reacting to his nonsense.

You are over-reacting alright... to the loss as your beloved pack go down in flames again!

Lashing out tonight, of all times, I see.

Sorry, I know it's a delicate time right after the loss.

You really ARE this stupid Bill, I guess I overestimated you.

I am ecstatically happy, and wins by both dogs on Sunday would make for some really good matchups next week.

Brad H -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 7:57:52 AM)

That was a good football game last night. SF played their asses off on defense. Take away the opening drive and they were nearly perfect on defense. Hope they can recover in time for the NFC title game.

Biggest hit of the game was when Devante Adams got roped on after a catch in the late third/early fourth quarter (I believe). He was very quiet and tentative after that.

The silver lining is maybe, just maybe, you'll back off on incessant posts about packers SBs, Rodgers this and that, etc.

Your game picking isn't very good either.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 10:16:29 AM)

Bill, I post Packer insight because I live in Wisconsin, think of me as a Vikings' spy.

I don't think I have posted much on Packer SBs, but I do think they do a better job in their organization and in the media of promoting a successful atmosphere more likely to produce a SB winner, as compared to Minnesota or Detroit.

I am strongly considering a move back to Minnesota, so there is likely to be less either way. I will then work harder to help Minnesota provide the right sort of atmosphere more likely to lead to it's first SB win.

Enough of this crap about hexes, or about kicker hexes. Joseph is a good kicker, it's all about confidence in himself, and having the confidence from the HC.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 10:19:05 AM)

I don't know what you're talking about in regards to picks Bill, I think I am around 40% overall on picks. Not bad for an amateur, lol. I didn't see any of your picks this last week, it takes balls to stick your neck out there and make picks.

40% straight up is nothing to write home about or, really, even to speak up about. And the way you flip flop, hide your intent (~ I may stick with "them"), combined with being sort of out there, you are probably more like 27% overall.

The one year I picked every game of the season ATS I was within a fraction of 50%. Still would have lost money due to the vig.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 11:40:44 AM)

I may be taking the Bengals because I like Joe cool at QB, but I will stick with them.

May? But? Stick with who?

You'd make a great politician.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 2:27:16 PM)

Bill, I was making a joke about 40%, not sure why you're taking that seriously.

I picked the Bengals, that was the pick. The may was about the reason why I was picking them. It was based more on like, instead of matchups, stats, or anything like that.

I was sticking with them, not changing the pick before game time. I think it's nice to put out your picks early, and see what others are picking, compare notes and reasons why. I also think it's ok to change a pick before game time, should you hear about an injury, or learn some more information. But nevermind Bill, you're not making picks anyway.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 2:28:18 PM)

It's always easier to cut down others, than it is to have the guts to make any picks yourself.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 2:35:23 PM)

I started this thread hoping people would have some fun with it, and make some predictions. It's pretty cool if you can predict something well in advance, or predict something that's unlikely.

It was good to see a few people making predictions on the playoffs.

ambear -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 2:37:21 PM)

Jezus I suck at making picks which is why I don't bet on sports. Couldn't make a buck if you held a gun to my head. Oh and F the puke!!![&:]

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 3:19:27 PM)

Ambear, you can still get 2 out of 4, but slow start for the Bucs.

If a person were REALLY bad at picks, like only getting 25%, you could REALLY make some good money betting, betting the opposite of your picks.

I am usually at around 40%, which after juice, wouldn't make a whole lot by betting the opposite.

Maybe you should try that George Costanza opposite approach.

thebigo -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 4:34:02 PM)

Stafford's sphincter tightening.

I bet he mostly uses "the pick".

LMAO (Rams/Bucs game)

ronhextall -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 4:49:55 PM)

Stafford and Garapolo are not better than Cousins IMO.

Crazy year in nfc.

Just tuned this game in..

Go rams..

Don’t want Brady to be in any more Championship games..

I want the focus on different teams, and QB’s, in the Super Bowl..

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/23/2022 5:08:24 PM)

I just can’t have nice things….
