So nobody agrees with my pick of NE over GB in the SB ?

I could see Buffalo or KC coming out of the AFC, can't picture the Titans making it.

GB almost seems like a lock for the NFC. I think Tampa or the Rams could have surprised them in the 1st game, but it doesn't look like the Pack would see either of them until the Championship. So GB probably gets Dallas or some other chump team, then the Rams or Bucs for the NFC final.

Lots of turmoil in Tampa right now, with a ton of injuries. The potential matchups in the NFC right now are very unclear. Lots of big games this weekend. In the AFC, I'd be surprised if any of the teams in the top six lost. The only game that seems somewhat intriguing is New England versus Miami. The Raiders/Chargers matchup should be must-see television, with a winner moving into the playoffs.

I challenge anybody and everybody to see who can be the most accurate at picking the winning playoff teams. No money, just bragging rights.

I will warn you, I am pretty good at this, usually around 40% for picks. Lol

You can change your picks, as long as it is done before game time.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/12/2022 11:25:07 AM)

For this weekend, I am going with Tampa Bay, Dallas and Arizona for the NFC.

AFC, I will go with Cincinnati, NE and KC.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/12/2022 4:09:53 PM)

I don't like Dallas, GB, NE, Philly, KC, or TB to win any more.

I want a team that hasn't won it all first....And Tennessee is looking awfully good to me. they managed to keep winning without their best player for half the season and got the number 1 seed in the AFC.

In the NFC. The Cardinals are the only team, I believe without a SB win. So my hopes are there.

Tennesse.Arizona SB.

Everyone else can suck it

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/14/2022 4:06:42 PM)

Ok Scottie, that is your hoped for result, who do you think will actually win this weekend ?

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/14/2022 4:07:50 PM)

1 point for each playoff winner, can anyone get a 13 ?

It starts this weekend, you can get 6 points.

To be honest, I really don't care. What I want are well officiated, well played and competitive games.

No controversial **** jobs.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 2:20:19 PM)

I am not surprised nobody joined in with picks, I am too good at this. [;)]

Staying with my picks of TB, Dallas, Arizona, Cincy, NE and KC.

ambear -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 5:19:31 PM)

Going with Buffalo over NE. Like the rest of your picks.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 6:10:42 PM)

Cool Ambear, you might finish one ahead of me.

I was going back and forth on. I decided to stick with NE because I had picked them over GB in the SB awhile back. Just not sure if the rookie QB can come through in his first game, at Buffalo. I was hoping they wouldn't play Buffalo until later.

Tomlin and Ben seem sorta relaxed, they will may give KC a game, and could pull the upset if it's a close game. I am still sticking with KC on that one.

ambear -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 6:18:45 PM)

Yeah not sure Ben has the juice anymore. KC seems to be back in that groove.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 6:57:22 PM)

Congratulations Amber, we both have one point.

Anyone else want to join in, you're only down by one ?

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 10:41:13 PM)

Anyone else want to join in, still 4 more games this weekend, and then 7 more ??

You probably won't catch Ambear as she is perfect, but you might still catch me.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/15/2022 10:44:08 PM)

Nice call with the Bills Ambear, I made the mistake of thinking Belichick would ride his jealousy of Brady to the SB, and do it with a rookie QB.

Should have remembered it's still the players, not the HC, as we learned in the 90s with Siefert (SF) and Switzer (Dallas).

Actually, I'm not a she, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night. First name is Kevin. Just use ambear as it is a combo of the last names of my wife and I.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/16/2022 12:33:52 PM)

Lol. Sorry for the assumption, I had thought it could be am bear, and that you did something with radio.

Todd M -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/16/2022 12:45:49 PM)

Wow, you were able to drive that even further off the cliff.

It’s Marty…

There are no guardrails anywhere….

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/16/2022 3:10:57 PM)

Guardrails, how limiting, safe and boring. Lol

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/16/2022 7:10:59 PM)

Still not too late for someone to join in predicting the playoff winners. Ambear has 3, and I have 2, 9 games to go.

OK

So NE and Dallas are gone. YAY. and I loved HOW they departed.

KC gets Buffalo. Rooting for Buffalo here.
SF gets GB. gotta root 9ers
Tennessee and Cincy, whew. Push...Titans look tough but neither team has a Superbowl, so I am truly indifferent.
LA gets TB - NFC is looking pretty sucky to me. Defending champs. Green Bay. Rams. and 49ers. Any can lose and I will be happy, but I'd prefer GB loses first. TB is looking like they are playing their best now. Look out for them.

I would love this matchup inthe AFCCG
Buffalo at Tennessee

I would tolerate this matchup the most in the NFCCG
SF at LA

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/21/2022 8:15:29 PM)

Ambear got 4 of 6 last week, while I got 3.

My picks for this week are:

Cincy, GB, LA Rams and KC

Cincinnati vs Tennessee should be a fun one. No idea who wins. Bengals have a better QB, so I'll go with them. Tennessee is as soft of a 1-seed as I've ever seen.

San Francisco vs Green Bay is about tempo. If SF can run the ball, Green Bay could be in trouble. My hunch is, however, Green Bay gets out quick and wins.

Rams at Bucs should be interesting. My feeling is that Los Angeles is the more talented team, with Tampa having a huge advantage at quarterback. I'll be rooting for the Rams just because I'm tired of the Brady story line. Like what LA has been doing with Odell Beckham in recent weeks. He's gotten very involved. I think the Bucs could be in trouble in this one.

Bills at KC could be the game of the week. I think Buffalo has the best overall team in the league right now. I'm taking the Bills.

CINCY, GB, LAR AND BUFF
