I think they should implement 20 minute OT's. Someone is bound to score in 75% of those.

5 minute OT's in hockey just seem so pointless to me. There's an average of about 6 goals in 60 minutes. So what are the chances of any goals in 5 minutes of play when both teams are playing defensively? Slim to none.

I don't get it.

If they disallow it, why? Wilcox was the one that knocked the net off. Not sure what to think. Need the experts here.

IMO it should be a goal.

This is dumb. It's always bothered me that the goalie could always just knock the net off if he gets freaked out on a breakaway.

Disappointing tie (loss) on our home ice.
And yep...like I've said before, it will be very easy to slide right into "hating" the two Michigan powers.

That whole "kick off the net while looking like you are attempting a save" thingy has damn-near gotten me kicked out of many a game.
Even at lower levels, once a kid gets good at it, he can control the game.
And basically refs are powerless to fix the problem (they say). Of course they can. Warn the kid. And then follow thru with the delay of game call.
But they don't. Someday, somewhere, some huge game will get decided by it, and then, just maybe, they will do something. Or not.  [:D]

We didn't play our best game last night for sure, and were lucky to get a point out of that effort. They need to bounce back with a solid effort tonight and get the win. I didn't think they would miss Serratore much, but his energy and effort on every shift was sorely missed last night. We need somebody else to step up and fill that role to set the tone for effort and energy.

Serratore is one of "those guys" that never gets enough credit, imo.
Pushes guys. Busts his ass. Smart as hell.
Gets moved around like furniture, yet is always ready to get after it.
You cannot have a real team without a guy like that. Coaches kid.
Donny isn't always real kind to those types, but he should be, imo.

SMF, if there's any way you can find a replay of the controversial deflected goal last night, I'd like to read your opinion. Announcers and studio analysts were equally split on it. All said it could have gone either way, but 2 said goal and 2 said no goal.
