Yikes. Shredded between the tackles and on the edge.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 11:50:02 AM)

Wearing them out.

TOP advantage is huge.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 12:11:03 PM)

Big 4th down here.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 12:12:39 PM)

scratch that. FG instead of going for it.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 12:13:12 PM)

Another long scoring drive would be huge to end the half since we get the ball to start the 2nd.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 12:21:58 PM)

HUGE!!!

Nelson has been fantastic, in less than ideal conditions.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 12:56:05 PM)

Sure would be nice if Hageman would show up today.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 1:07:45 PM)

Another chance for a big drive. Come on boys!

The kid can absolutely dominate at times, then he can completely disappear. Don't get it. Maybe it's a conditioning issue?

Yeap, I said the same about 2 weeks ago. It's bizarre. I thought maybe he had a lazy attitude on the field. Good point about conditioning.

Special Teams units want to play too. Looking pretty damn good today.

I'm afraid we are going to need another TD along the way. Hopefully we scrap some of the conservative play calls on O.

Watch out for Robinson now.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 1:43:19 PM)

Wells with back-to-back HUGE plays!

Steve Lentz -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 2:47:10 PM)

Nice job Gophers!

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 3:06:20 PM)

I think the Gophers will have another of their TE playing in the NFL. [:D]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/9/2013 9:45:15 PM)

You have got to love Kill and his coaches. I've been very vocal about his seizures and the affects on recruiting. I still don't know how that will play out but this is very well coached team. We are still light in the pants, talent wise, but the team never looks outcoached. Just awesome to see it grow.

I said after our first B10 loss "we may not get another win all year". Best crow ever eaten. 8-2 baby, who'da thunk it?????????????????

Bruce Johnson -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 5:57:51 AM)

Which bowl game do you think the Gophers will go to? I'm guessing one of these: Liberty Bowl, Chick- Fil- A Bowl, Gator Bowl, or Sun Bowl. Again, just speculating. If they can beat Wisconsin, then perhaps the Capital One Bowl or Outback Bowl, but I'm not optimistic about that.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 10:00:16 AM)

Over this winning streak this has been a pretty impressive coaching job. This is a young team and not super talented, maybe middle of the pack on a good day. But time after time the coaches are putting them in position to succeed, with great preparation and play calling.

The biggest thing they're finally buying into it. The Iowa game they looked completely tense and not believing in themselves. Look at the difference now. They play like if they just do their jobs and execute, they know they can win. 90% of football is half mental.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 10:06:11 AM)

Agree Karl. Just a really good, fundementally sound team. No penalties, solid ST's ect.. Guys not "out talenting" the guys opposite of them but rather "out system-ing" them.

I've been especially impressed with Limegrover. His playcalling has been outstanding.

The one area of concern, especially with Sconny coming up, is our lack of LB play. It was way too easy for Penn State to get through our line and in to the secondary.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 1:12:40 PM)

If 3 unlikely things happen, we play in the Big 10 championship game:

Northwestern beats Michigan State
Gophers beat Wisconsin
Gophers beat Michigan State

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 1:13:58 PM)

To have 3 winless teams in a conference is pretty pathetic.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 1:28:17 PM)

Right now we are projected to play in either the Gator Bowl vs. LSU or the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl vs. Oklahoma.

So you're telling me there's a chance.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/10/2013 6:05:39 PM)

I got sneaky suspicion we'll get one more scalp but i doubt both.
