I know I'm treading on thin ice here ... but .... gonna say it anyway I've seen at least 5 instances this year in FB games, from HS to college, where kids lay on the field, get strapped to a gurney, and wheeled out in ambulances. Five. In all 5 instances, (I've checked) ... every player had returned to the sideline or the locker room by the time the game ended, and 4 of the 5 (one pending...) PLAYED the next week. THAT has to stop, imo. I'm not asking you to paralyze yourself by attempting to play on, but come on. Who's teaching people to go to the ER every time you get hit hard? Just stop it. I've seen thousands of games in my life before this year and had seen that event happen maybe 4 times in the previous 55 years? Suddenly now hits are worse? Make up your mind if you really want to play or not, and why. I would have been MORTIFIED to lay on a field or rink, have to be carted off, and then suddenly return .... OK. How do you explain that? Theres a difference between being injured, and being beat up. Start teaching kids the difference, please. And yeah, you kids get off my lawn please.
