Now they added a 6'7", 309 lb juco tackle. A little on the runty side compared to the 368 lb G and 400 lb tackle they signed the day before. He decommitted from UCLA before taking the Gopher offer. He also had offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Iowa State, Maryland, TCU, Texas Tech, and UCLA. I'm not sure how this works out since this puts them over their limit of 25.

It's the period they sign in. Teams are limited to 25 and right now the Gophers have 26 commits for the period. Somebody has to go because the NCAA has cracked down on gray shirting.

I'm still confused by 26 guys signing. I though all teams were limited to 25 scholarships in the early signing period.

The recruit out of Perham....Logan Richter is GreyShirting (going to attend school in winter of 2019)....cut it back to 25.

Fleck just got his first commitments for 2019. Eden Prairie QB Cole Kramer, who has 31 TD and no Int in 2 years as a starter and is the #4 rated Minnesota HS player for 2019. Iowa, Michigan State and North Dakota State were also recruiting him. The other is Minnesota Gatorade player of the year Jason Williamson of Owatonna. He rushed 311 times for 2,316 yards and 38 TDs last year and is the #3 rated Minnesota HS player for 2019. Iowa, North Dakota State and South Dakota State also recruited him.

He apparently had a few D1 offers, but chose to walk on at Minnesota.

Fleck just signed the best Minnesota Football Recruiting class ever quote: Usually Minnesota rounds out a class with a larger number of low three stars or even two star recruits. This year though, Fleck and his staff put together a class where 96% of the commits (24 of 25) ranked higher than Minnesota’s average recruit ranking for the last 5 years (.8318). Sounds like the Georgia Kid recruited PJ as much as PJ recruited him. It was too easy for PJ to recruit him....liked everything about him. That is billboard material for other recruits. That QB walk on really helped recruit the Florida Oline....
