I think you guys are getting worked up about something that's not worth getting worked up over.

He is the same as any other coach they bring in here. I'll give him about 3 - 4 years to show he is taking the program in the right direction. If he gives us at long last a winning program, I really couldn't care less what he puts on the helmets. If he is a loser, get rid of him for that reason and his mantra goes with him.

All I know is that this year he pulled in our best recruiting class in over a decade and these kids were tweeting "row the boat" in making their announcements. It may come across as annoying and stupid to a bunch of old fart, crotchety baby boomers like us, but the only thing that matters is how the young millenials he is recruiting respond to it. I'll give it a couple years before I judge it.

But I don't see it. The decision to use one turd at QB all year was horrible.

He used two turds, not one. That's all he had to choose from at QB was turds. Jeez, give the guy a chance to win or lose with his own players playing his own system before you dog pile on him and proclaim his program a failure. Oh, right, he put those oars on his helmet. I bet his recruits play loud music after 10:00 too.

I bet he was expecting a weak first year. Usually happens when you take over a program that is not a perennial power. It's the honey moon year. The coaches implement their system and refuse to tear a red shirt off anyone unless injuries force it. Fleck is hardly unique among coaches in their first year in going through this.

Look I'm as fatalistic as the next Gopher football fan, but I'm going to wait until it his program and his players before I rip on the results.

Like I said unless they are taking over a well established program after someone retires, most don't. So, I will stay off your lawn and stop playing my rock and roll music after 10 pm.

Yep. I still remember the big upset of Purdue in 67 and tie for the Big Ten title that let us think that winning titles were still possible here. Then the next 50 years happened.
