Many current and former Gophers are dismissing the article as a hit piece, trying to cash in on the momentum from the Northwesterm allegations and law suits.

That's my impression too. Just trying to ride along in the wake of the Northwestern story.

Fleck isn't for everyone. No big secret. When you are dealing with 100 kids a year there are bound to be a few who don't buy in, and get disillusioned, get disgruntled about this or that.

Seems like a big nothing story.

A lot of the parents aren't PJ types; the kids more or less like/love it though.

How many have you spoken to or interviewed?

I know a 4 star recruit's parents since elementary school. He of course talks to the other parents. Their older son is a backup DE for the Bison. That coaching staff also treats the kids good.

Every coach loses talent but PJ seems to keep the kids happy. That is the most important to the parents.

That's a lot of opinion (portrayed as fact) for someone that had a run-in with a football parent 25 years ago.

A run in 25 years ago, PJ isn't very old?

One of my best friends. No reason to discuss further as you must be pissed about something else. 4 star is a freshman this year for the Gophers; DE for the Bison is a Junior this year.

Well, I'm sure glad that that one parent represents the other 300 sets of parents from players they recruit in any given year. It's now fact.

Oh you are upset that I was right about Arreaz having an achy knee...yep all nonsense.
You have something against PJ don't you? He didn't recruit a certain kid I bet.
Oh by the way; I asked the Parents, GrandParents, and their son about Fleck a week before the season and also the rumors.

Brad is biased towards the Pac-12. It's his job to hype up the programs out West.

I'm biased towards good football. Which is why I haven't hyped the Pac 12 in 6-7 years.

Are you watching more SEC and Big Ten football then....no wonder you are so ornery. You hate both of those conferences.

I do? That's news to me.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 9:43:05 PM)

This might go down as the worst loss of the Fleck era. I mean, let’s move on, type loss.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 9:59:23 PM)

Wow.

Dude had all the time in the world and had no idea he was in the end zone?

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:00:14 PM)

This feels like a vintage Mason game.

We run wild, get a sizable lead and then have no answer when the other team starts throwing the ball.

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:10:11 PM)

I don't know who #2 is in the secondary, but dude is absofuckinglutely worthless.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:20:26 PM)

As bad of a loss as I can remember.

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:20:31 PM)

People say Span-Ford is an early round NFL draft choice. I just don't see it.

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:20:49 PM)

Well that was pathetic

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:22:06 PM)

Yup, pathetic. We have some decent players. Coaches? Oof…….

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (9/23/2023 10:25:10 PM)

Seems like a decent dude and an ok recruiter but we are 7 wins and a cloud of dust type team with Fleck. He’s JAG.

He has the physique of one. The production hasn’t been there.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Gopher Football (9/24/2023 7:16:01 AM)

I swear there’s a clause in every Gopher coach’s contract. If you have a nice lead at halftime immediately stop doing the things that got you that lead.

That long TD they surrendered spooked Fleck and everything changed. They started rushing 3 and 4 instead of 5 and 6 and said “We don’t care if you score, just so you take a few minutes to do it. What are you gonna do, score 21 points in the 4th quarter?”

Its not just Gophers.

When was the last coach we had in any sport that would just step on an opponents neck and bury them? Just give them no hope of any kind of comeback?

Denny in 98?
