He has put up big numbers because he has had incredible talent around him.

Like it's his fault that the upper management went out of their way to get Favre. and dump Pennington. I completely disagree The issue is not him running the ball downfield. The problem is he won't have the quickness needed to avoid sacks like he used to do. In addition, not having a stable foundation affects your throws. Carson Palmer has not been same player after his knee injury either. Brady may come back, but I would bet the ranch against him ever being as good as he was.

Bill Parcells Could Become a Free Agent Sun Dec 28, 2008 Bill Parcells' status hinges on whether Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga's sale of his majority ownership of the team goes through, sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. When Parcells joined the Dolphins as executive vice president of football operations last year, his deal included a onetime out clause that would allow him to walk away, with the rest of his $12 million guaranteed contract fully paid, no strings attached, if Huizenga were to sell the team. Earlier this year, Huizenga agreed to sell 95 percent of the Dolphins to New York developer and team part-owner Stephen Ross. Huizenga hopes to close on the deal by early January to ensure that the capital gains taxes on the sale remain at 15 percent before President-elect Barack Obama takes the oath of office Jan. 20, Mortensen reported. Parcells' contract specifically states only Huizenga can be in authority over him. Once Ross officially becomes majority owner, Parcells has to notify Ross within 30 days that he intends to exercise his walk-away clause and collect the full balance of $9 million, Mortensen reported. At that time, Parcells would be a free agent. And any team that wants his services would not owe compensation to the Dolphins, according to the report. Among the teams sources say are on Parcells' radar are the New York Jets, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns and the Oakland Raiders. However, if Parcells' son-in-law, New England Patriots vice president Scott Pioli, is interested in any of those jobs, Parcells is unlikely to wind up with that team, Mortensen reported.

Romo Collapses in Shower Mon Dec 29, 2008 The Star-Telegram reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo apparently suffered a rib injury during the Cowboys' 44-6 loss to Philadelphia. Following the game, Romo collapsed in the shower and had to be helped to his feet by teammates. Romo had X-rays after being attended to by the team's athletic trainers. When he fell, teammates rushed to his aid and one player called for paramedics. Emergency help rushed into the locker room with a stretcher, which wasn't needed. Romo was helped to his feet, and appeared to have trouble breathing from the injury. Romo spoke at his postgame news conference, but had trouble moving. He also had to be helped off a short stage where he addressed the media. Romo was sacked three times and hit many other times. QB Brooks Bollinger replaced him in the fourth quarter.

This would just be retarded on the Dolphins part. No I shouldn't say that...it would be an insult to retards. Why in God's name would you ever let ANYONE leave that helped turn a 1-15 team into a division winning 11-5 team? That turnaround is amazing. Parcells hired the new Coach...and went out and got his QB. And the team played with attitude again...something it hadn't done in years. If Brady misses 2009 I believe his Pro Bowl days are over. As for Parcels, no way does he go to either of those dregs. I think the new owner pays him a ton to stay. If not, then the Jets would be first choice unless Al Davis agrees to completely step away and give Bill all power.

There is NO WAY that Al Davis will give control to anyone but Al Davis...and the Raiders will suck until he does...which will probably be when he dies. I think if Parcells walks, both the Chiefs and Lions will make a big play for him...however...they wont wait until the middle of February to do so...if Parcells drags his feet...they wont remain options. Lions really need to hire a guy NOW. Fire Marinelli (good guy or not, you don't get to keep your job after going 0-16 IMHO). I would highly suggest trading Calvin Johnson too, cause you aren't going to keep him long after his current contract expires. Time for a Jaren Allen like trade for Calvin. Time for a total rebuild.

I really hope he retires now and STAYS retired, just so I don't have to hear all the manlove BS. He is not superman, he is not the best QB to ever play the game.
