Either you are adaptive to change or you are rigid and inflexible clinging to rituals and beliefs that are highly subjective and arbitrary. No league or team is fielding home grown talent. I would love it if the Blue Jays were all Canadian. Or if we had an NFL team, I think it would be cool if they were all Canadian. Or in same manner, constructed to field a majority. It's not like one is rooting against that or for that because it doesn't work like that. Is Manning too much of a Colts icon that you wouldn't want him? You'll take talent as long as they are not embraced by the local fans? I guess it doesn't seem that simple to me.

I did not want Favre last year. I hated Jim McMahon. I'm not trying to grill you, it was a serious question, is McNabb like Favre, are the Eagles like the Packers, or what? It's not McNabb, it's the Eagles offense that bothers me. No matter, I'm resigned to watching a shitty offense until Childress gets the axe... And I really like offense. But not the 2 yard dump pass to a ground sloth and our grade school blocking schemes.

I think he'd make Peyton, Brady and Elway look bad in his offense. Montana could probably make it work.

Yeah I didn't like McMahon in purple for the same reason I wouldn't want Favre. I'm sick of hearing about them. McNabb doesn't bother me. Urlacher would. I'd like Jennings from GB, CB Manning from Chicago.... I guess it's guys that I don't think deserve the media spotlight because they are just average. Like McMahon, Favre, Urlacher......

The Eagles talent, McNabb, Westbrook and Jackson could be phenominal in a different system. I don't think it's the players that make that offense somewhat boring, I think they have some of the most talented players in the league and that's what saved that offensive scheme.

Another overrated guy IMO. He had a couple good seasons but you have to take in to account the weapons he had.

I think this is coming from the thought process that we don't want TJack starting next year...people don't stop to think that we don't just want a replacement for TJack...we want somebody who is actually BETTER. If we aren't going to improve over TJack than we may as well just start TJack. Go with the Devil you know instead of the Devil you don't know. Names like Derek Anderson, Matt Cassel, Marc Bulger, Sage Rosenfels, etc etc etc etc...keep popping up... Folks we don't just want a different person at the position...we want someone who will actually be better at the job. That's why I advocate Jeff Garcia, McNabb, Hasselbeck (if healthy), Warner, or Palmer, MAYBE, Leftwich, OR NOBODY. There is no Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco in this coming draft. And there are no other QBs that sound like they are going to be available in FA or for trade that are good enough to supplant TJack...plain and simple. Our options really are limited...but we must improve at the position...if we can't, then concentrate on getting another beast at the WR position and shore up the OLine and pray TJack can get the job done.

He was coming off a season in NY where he only played in 10 games but had a 86.4 QB rating - far better than the the 70s Bulger put up 2 years in a row. Kurt has only had 1 year in his career with more INTs than TDs. Plus, he did a lot more with the same cast that Bulger inherited.

Well JC, you like Philly's offense. I don't. It's just weird watching a game we just won and feeling like someone kicked the shit out of me. Until Philly Chilly came along, I'd never experienced feeling down after actually WINNING a game. He's a dandy. Get him and his lame worthless Eagles offense off of my team. And if you really want to see this offense, watch every play that AD is not on the field. There you have the awesome kick ass offense in full glory. It sux and McNabb won't unsuck it. He might just help us get a 4 yard gain on 3rd and long instead of of our 2yd ass paddling we usually shell out in that position. He needs to stay in Philly and help the Eagles choke every year. He's got that down. We choke just fine without him teaching the young guys how to fall on their faces.

The one year they broke from the west toast (which pissed Chilly off to no end) he was lobbing the ball deep to TO like a madman. I think McNabb can play in a lot of different systems. I think he's been as much a victim of the Philly offense as a beneficiary. My God they have stuck with some horrific receivers.
