Sorry Steve, I'm sure that stung but as a neutral guy, that was a great game to watch.

That it was!

nebraska's kicker walshed them.. badly...

He was terrible.

Nebraska got to know the true Mike Riley yesterday.

September let downs, check
Bad coordinators, check
Nice guys finish last, check.

Now all you need is some rape allegations by the football team and you'll have the Mike Riley hitting for the cycle.

Wash, rinse, repeat

Ohio State is going to dominate the first round of the 2016 draft.

Amazing group of talent.
Going to be very tough for anyone to beat.

Ian Joseph -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/8/2015 12:56:37 AM)

Only way anyone beats them is if their bus crashes on the way to the game. Even if somebody has a bad day on the field, they're good enough to overcome it.

But, it will be fun watching them run the table.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/8/2015 8:09:53 AM)

I didn't even realize that some of their better players didn't even play yesterday. They are like a pro team.

SoMnFan -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/8/2015 9:39:26 AM)

Once I calmed my giddiness over the BYU Hail Mary, had to check in on my Husker friends.
They don't take losing normally, well.
That one had to be an ass-kicker.

Can't agree more on Ohio State.
Faster, stronger, deeper, than anyone.
It's almost unfair. Unfortunately.

McMurfy -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/8/2015 11:11:06 AM)

Well wait a minute, according to an "expert", there's probaby 4 teams in the SEC East alone, who could beat Ohio State.
But maybe not because Urban Meyer is an "SEC" coach.
Which would make Nick Saban a MAC or Big Ten Coach, but he's not because he's had success at two SEC schools.

Gosh I can't keep it all straight anymore.

You want to crown them then crown their ass.

Ian Joseph -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/8/2015 12:22:17 PM)

I cant think of a college football team in recent memory that would be favored against this OSU team. They are as impressive of a group as I've seen in college in quite some time.

The most recent college team I think could run with them was the Miami team with Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Reggie Wayne and company that won in 2001. Nobody and I mean NOBODY outside of that team would have a chance. Not any USC team, not any Alabama nor LSU teams, not even last year's OSU team. Nobody else.

McMurfy -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/8/2015 4:35:33 PM)

No doubt a great team, but they'll have to prove it against the best of the SEC, Pac-12, and Big 12 , in some combination to get it done.
The CFP will make it a trickier road than the great teams of yesteryear had to navigate.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (9/9/2015 7:18:07 AM)

I didn't see the Wisconsin game, but it sounds like Alabama will not be a slouch this year. They never are.

JT2 -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (10/18/2015 1:22:00 AM)

Fournette may have slipped in his pursuit of the Heisman. Only 180 yards. Henry gained some ground, and Dalvin Cook had about 220 combined.

For those that haven't watched Fournette play, I encourage you to do so. He's really remarkable, talented and just fun to watch.

Some of the pundits I read compare him to Adrian Peterson. I really don't see that. He doesn't have Peterson's hard cut ability. He is explosive though. He reminds me a little of Dickerson. He has that long, graceful stride. Defenders know he's fast, but they still take the wrong angle. He doesn't catch a lot of balls in that offense, but I heard that some of the LSU players have said he has the best hands on the team.

I'm not entirely sold on him. We see a lot of guys come out of the SEC that look just like him and they turn out to be mediocre professionals (Trent Richardson comes to mind). He runs pretty straight up, which means he is going to take a lot of shots in the NFL. You have to be able to run laterally to survive in the NFL. He won't be able to run through guys on Sundays. Marshawn Lynch is about the only guy that has been able to do it for any length of time. Eddie Lacy has been dinged up since he came into the league.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (10/18/2015 9:04:35 AM)

I saw a couple of dandy running backs yesterday. One with LSU and one with Utah. I know the Vikings need offensive linemen, but the next Adrian Peterson would be tempting.

I would take a dominant corner over anything. The Seahawks, Cardinals and Broncos would agree with me.

Bill Jandro -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (10/19/2015 4:33:33 PM)

We need to go Oline early and often.

Maybe sprinkle in a S and a TE

I'd take a dominant QB. Numerous past Super Bowl Champs would agree with me. Hopefully Teddy can evolve into that.

Tark, Marino, Fouts, Jim Kelly, or Moon aside.

Tarkenton, Marino and Moon were all vastly overrated, IMO.

An excellent antiperspirant.

An excellent antiperspirant.

I googled his name and got a picture of a hockey stick.
