When your conference is a bit deeper, you can't afford to take a weekend off. Winning in the Pac 12 every week is brutal because the quarterbacks are so good. Take one week off and a program like Washington State, Utah or ASU can clip you. The SEC has horrendous quarterbacks. If one ends up good, they win it all. Auburn won with Newton. Florida with Tebow. Bama with a couple of decent guys. Outside of that, the conference hasn't produced a ton of talent at quarterback. Dak Prescott had Mississippi State competitive for the first time in decades. They went back to being Mississippi State as soon as he left. A&M was fun when Manziel was there. He left and gonzo went the Aggies. Chase Daniel at Missouri, same thing. If you don't have the guy slinging it, you have no chance. The Pac 12 has five of the top 16 teams in the country according to the Sagarin Rankings. They will be lucky to get one team into the four-team playoff, which means it is a shameful system.

That is because too much emphasis is placed no not having a loss and not enough on quality of opponent Louisville shows they are a fraud

Never trust a Pac 12 skill position player (offense) until tested against non-Pac 12 competition. On the other hand, if a defender stands out it can mean they're elite, as we've seen in our LBs.

We don't know about conferences until Bowl season, and even then it can be difficult.

I may even buy a ticket to watch that beat down. The truth is, everybody should be pushing for an 8-team playoff. A lot of teams are stacked up behind Alabama this season and most are going to be pissed that they did not get in. USC fans have no vision of getting into the playoff. They know the dream was gone after four weeks.

After Alabama, I see at least 11 teams that could beat one-another on any given weekend. The biggest fraud has to be Penn State. They had one good Saturday against Ohio State, and played a bunch of bums outside of that game. The next biggest fraud is Wisconsin. The Gophers had them over a barrel until Mitch Leidner showed up in the 4th quarter. What a sham that those two teams are playing for the Big Ten championship. They should cancel the event. Nebraska ranked #16 going into last week? Haven't beaten a team with a pulse all season. Sagarin has them ranked #34.
