Winston is at a completely different level than any other college QB.

I was going to propose we tank next year to get him but I don't think we'll have to try. We most likely will be in the mix for him already. Just keep Frazier one more year and with him and Ponder we're right there.

I am not down with any plan that involves tanking games.

Keeping Frazier would be a clear indication that the front office doesn't share my opinion.

Aub vs FSU will be a good one. Aub is playing about as good as any team right now esp running the ball. Mason with over 300 yds against Mizz was exceptional.

Winston sure can throw a nice tight spiral with uncanny accuracy. Should be one hell of a contest. FSU has a stellar defense in no way shape or form is Aub going to beable to run roughshod over them.

I look for it to be a low scoring battle. FSU 17 Aub 14

Florida St. will score more than that in the first half.

I would be surprised if Florida State lost

I would be shocked if they don't score 30

1 team all year was even within 2 TDs of them

They may be an all time great team and will be in that conversation if they blow out Auburn

John Childress -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (12/8/2013 5:00:16 PM)

Florida State is 13-0, having won every game by at least two touchdowns, having dominated the four ranked opponents it faced by a combined score of 200-35

Down goes Ohio State.

FSU/Auburn for the Championship, as it should be.

At least FSU is legit. I can't argue that.

What you got against Auburn?

Nothing against Auburn in general. They certainly deserve to be squarely in the mix. I just don't see them as the slamdunk that others do. They got 4 FIRST place votes in the AP poll for pete's sake! That is ridicules.

I see a team that was 12-1 in the SEC. Impressive for sure. But I also see a team that was 3 & freaking 9 last year. Those wins came against mighty Lou-Monroe, New Mex St, and Alabama A&M. So......an unbelievable one year turn around or a bad joke? You decide. I see a team that this year won 5 games by a TD or less....and lost a game by two TD's. Bama, Mich St, OSU & Baylor also have just one loss. OSU is slumping, IMO. Barely beating Michigan two weeks ago and then this loss, they don't have much of a case. Baylor had one terrible game and drilled everyone else except TCU. Mich State has as good a defense anybody in the country. Their loss was highly questionable to NBC (I mean Notre Dame). Bama's loss was to Auburn in a game that easily could have gone either way but someone had to win. If I had to guess who the 2 best teams are, I'd pick FSU & Alabama. Auburn in the title game is fine. I get it and all, someone has to be #2. I just don't buy into all that media silliness.

If Frazier and Speilman are still with the team after Dec. 29th our next QB will be Brett Hundley. Bank on it. They run a similar offense as the Vikings do at UCLA.

Dave Odle -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (12/9/2013 7:22:08 PM)

Well, Chris Petersen left Boise State for Washington. End of an era? I hope not.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (12/9/2013 11:27:47 PM)

I heard that there are a lot of players on both offense and defense for Florida State that will be playing on Sundays. The quarterback will likely go number one in the draft in 2015, but he is on a great team. I have heard that their wide receiver Benjamin could be another Megatron. Nevertheless, their defense may be better than their offense. They have kept opposing teams to very little scoring and they have a great deal of "team speed". Auburn has a prolific running attack. I'm not sure what's special about the scheme. (maybe someone can explain it to me) They play that hurry up offense that wears out the other team, but in this case you have a great defense with nearly a month to prepare for that offense. It will be interesting to see that match up. (Fl. St. defense vs. Auburn offense) We have to know that Florida State will be able to score because Auburn does not have an elite defense. In its last three games, Auburn has given up an average of 37.3 points per game. Florida State hasn't scored less than 37 points all season.

FSU has the 85th toughest schedule. Ohio St had the 65th and were deemed unworthy.

Ohio St also lost their last game.

John Childress -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (12/10/2013 10:46:18 AM)

Ohio State barely beat a mediocre Michigan team

FSU played teams that were ranked in the Top 10 when they played and they CRUSHED them.

Don't even try to make an argument of OSU vs. FSU

It is laughable to think OSU is in the same conversation as FSU this year.

Of OSU were all that, they would have manhandled everyone on their schedule and not lost to Michigan State.

Nobody got screwed this year by the BCS....for once.

drviking -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (12/10/2013 12:17:29 PM)

fwiw....

i read somewhere OSU had the 50th (est) ranked schedule and FSU had a lower ranked schedule (65th?)

i dont care either way

just FYI

drviking -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (12/10/2013 12:21:11 PM)

And then you have the Sagarin rankings for strength of schedule. Ohio State's schedule is the 61st-hardest in NCAA football. Florida State's schedule comes in at 66.

....per SB nation

again either way i dont care....but it seems like a bit of hyperbole to say "Don't even try to make an argument of OSU vs. FSU"

YMMV

LAUGHABLE

You don't compare teams by SOS

You compare them by what they did on the field!

FSU beat every team by at least 2 TDs

Who else can say that

Pathetic

BINGO

You want to make that argument 2 weeks ago, fine

But OSU barely beat a mediocre M team then got tossed by MSU

FSU has smoked everyone

I am constantly amazed at the dumb shit that some people type on here

Another way to look at it.  OSU played one top ten ranked team and lost.

FSU played two top ten ranked teams and annihilated them by a combined score of 92-28.
