As I've said since day one ..
if you can't throw a first pitch, don't agree to do it.
The Nun nails it.
loved the Bicep move before hand.

They said they can throw over 70 mph

Awesome

So ... approximately twice as hard as Ben Revere threw ...

Liv is making adjustments to her delivery, where she'll hold the ball in the glove longer, which will give batters less time to pick it up.
All legal.
And She is still at around 55mph. Coach says she easily has 5mph to get out of her leg drive. So that's her goal. 60

Hitting wise, we'll spend all offseason making the swing quicker.
She hit .385 at Nationals, but wasn't all that happy. .500 OBP

Coach sent stats out. She was surprised. But not about walks. Led the team in walks. Did so by a large margin last spring.

Somewhere ... Joe Mauer is smiling .... [:D]

Maybe it's just me, but it seems to me people are acting like the nun is 80 years old. If I'm doing my math correctly (which I'm pretty good at *pats self on back*), she's 48-49 years old. Yes, she definitely made the throw better than I could or most of us could. But she's played baseball and softball her entire life. I guess it's the novelty of wearing the nun costume that takes it over the top.

She makes every NBA player who's tried it, look like a fool.
had nothing to do with age to me.
She's got a nice arm.
Good on her.
And added some spice.
What's not to like?

A walk is usually better than a single because it reduces the risk of a runner on base making a bad out on the basepaths.

My daughter Jackie is a free swinger. Never walked much but never struck much either. That's changed in college. She needs to be more selective.

Not as good as a double though.

The Nats trade Murphy and Adams.
I guess folding is en vogue

They tried to stand and make a run

have not, so apparently time to cut bait.

Rumors are that Philly will be harper's choice in FA this winter.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (8/21/2018 2:26:08 PM)

Oh, and BTW

The yanks troubles? Their winning % is still second best in all MLB

I heard they put em all on the wire?
Including harper?
Wow.
The Nats are not paying attention to what their brethren the Caps did.
They stayed the course.
And now the Cup is there.

I know they haven't said much about it, if at all, but I would suspect Austin/Rowson have had a working relationship in the past, before Rowson moved on. Cave possibly, too.

twinsfan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (8/21/2018 3:04:46 PM)

Rowson had zero input in any acquisitions.

Was not the point of the post, which I obviously didn't get across

Austin has likely worked with Rowson. Probably making his transition to MN easier. maybe even more successful.

Darvish out with stress reaction in pitching elbow.

Man, the Twins missed out on that one

Thankfully

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (8/21/2018 8:41:11 PM)

Eovaldi appears to have been mortal vs Cleveland, who is on the verge of 2 in a row in the win column at Fenway.

One of those guys that I wish the Pohlads would have burned their money on.
