I think so!!! We played pretty well on Saturday. I had sweet seats, I was right next to the Beavers penalty box on ice level. I went with an old co-worker of mine who went to SCSU, so I had a lot of fun with that!!!

Walsh was really good on Saturday. I wonder if Serratore might stick with him for awhile now......

BSU threw away a 3-1 lead over Alaska-Anchorage last night. The game ended in a 3-3 tie. I think this was Walsh's first Friday start of the season. BSU once again outshoots their opponent, but does not come away with a win.

Gotta win tonight. Getting 3 points in a weekend would be a step forward. I saw the youtube highlights, and one of those goals Walsh gave up was SOFT. We need one of these goalies to step up and be consistent.

A couple of ties up in AK. At least we didn't lose this weekend and picked up a couple of WCHA points. Back to the Sanford for another ranked team next weekend in Northern Michigan.

Nice win for BSU last night. We're playing better, and now have a 4-game unbeaten streak. However, Northern Michigan used an inexperience goaltender last night. Bitzer went for BSU last night, so I imagine it will be Walsh tonight. I believe we had our first Fitzgerald-Fitzgerald-Fitzgerald scoring play. Hope it's the first of many in their careers. No power play opportunities for Northern Michigan last night. I'm betting the refs will get an earful about that in tonight's game. Expect more whistles.

Wow, BSU outshoots them 42-20, but only comes away with a 1-1 tie. Typical, I guess. At least we didn't lose.

That disparity in shots versus goals sounds SO typical of all of our Minnesota teams Matt. What the heck?

{Note to self: just keep thinking positive thoughts, positive thoughts, positive thoughts.}

Yep, we pretty much played most of the game on their end of the ice, but only got 1 point. Looking on the bright side, take 3 out of 4 points against a ranked team isn't too bad. We went with Bitzer again last night, and he looked pretty good this weekend.

Now we have a long break. Then we open up with Huntsville in Bemidji after break.

Looks like BSU will safely make the playoffs in the WCHA. I didn't realize Lake Superior State would be so horrible this season. They've pretty much sunk to Alabama-Huntsville levels. Actually, overall Huntsville looks like they've improved enough that they are probably a better team than LSSU. But there should be no danger of the Beavers finishing behind either one of those teams. That means "we're in."

We better make it! Alaska is ineligible this season, so only one other team will be left out. I have my sights set on home ice. I'm pretty sure the top 3 will be Mankato, BG, and Michigan Tech in some order. If we get on a run, we should be able to rise in the standings.

Interesting on Alaska. I didn't know that. What did they do?

Alaska had some NCAA violations from a few years ago. It sounded pretty harsh to me, and of course it punishes the team now which likely had nothing to do with it.

It does look like a battle between UAH and Lake St for the last spot. I can't believe that Lake St. has fallen as much as they have. I think they won like 3 National Titles in the early 90s. We have a chance to move up the standings pretty quickly if we take care of business the first two weeks back with Huntsville and Lake St. It's about time we see the bottom half of the league.

BSU women are having a nice year so far. They swept the Gophers in the Cities earlier this season and they've also beat Duluth a couple times this season, with another win over Duluth today.

We get Lake Superior State next weekend. I'd be surprised if we sweep them. They beat Cornell and Notre Dame to win some tournament down in Florida a couple weeks ago.

Lake St. must be playing better if they won that tourney. Good weekend against Huntsville, we gotta keep stacking up the points against these teams.

BSU is outscoring their opponents 60-57, but BSU's record is 7-10-3. [:@]

That's gotta be damn near a record. BSU puts 44 SOG and loses to LSSU 1-0. LSSU put something like 24 SOG. Need a win tomorrow.

Looking at the box score, it looks like LSSU scored the lone goal with one second left in the 3rd period. Sh#&!!!!!!
