What happened to lunch?

Lunch is nothing more than a sandwich or cookie at the edge of the field, around 3pm


with coffee of course.......

Still nostalgia for the farm after all these years.......[&:]

Wife brings out the casserole to eat in the field.......can't waste any time.

Harvest used to be a month long (at least it was for us with small grains like Barley and Wheat).

Now, they can harvest the beans and corn and small grains in 7 days with combines that cost from 300 to $500K.

Farmers would wake before 5 am, eat breakfast, milk the cows, have a lunch at 10 am and a huge meal around noon......dinner. Then a quick nap, work till 3 or 3:30, then another lunch and then supper.

Now....it is
Breakfast, then lunch, then dinner.

Sold the farm 8 years ago.

Can't look back.[;)]

And I'm sure the word "supper" is not in their vocabulary.

I'd guess there is probably an actual "supper club" at really old casinos here - like the Flamingo. Where you can see Donnie and Marie perform while you eat a Steak Diane or Lobster Thermidor.
