ORIGINAL: Dave E To think that not allowing a guy to finish his career with the team that drafted him is too big of a punishment for beating up a four year old kid...wow. Just wow. Now it's beating up? A switch just stings, far cry from a beating. It must be nice Dave that you are so perfect and never sinned. You are goddamned right it's beating up a four year old child. I find it disgusting to sugarcoat it in any other way. And no need to turn this on me, Jim, and make it personal. I certainly have never claimed to be perfect. I can promise you, though, that I have never beat up my child (or any other child, for that matter), and never well. What I was getting at, I've made mistakes in my life so I have no right to judge anyone else's mistakes. Evidently you haven't. Plus God is our final judge, Disagree entirely. In fact, every society in history disagrees with the premise that actions can't be judged; otherwise, how would order be kept in any society? We have laws and rules for a reason. Society determines acceptable and unacceptable behavior, and there are criminal and civil consequences if certain laws are broken. That's what is happening here. As far as god being our final judge -- what does that have to do with anything I've posted? I've said I don't want him as a Viking as a consequence of his actions. Not exactly comparable to god judging whether someone is "good" or "bad." Point to me where I've made a final judgment on AD as a human being, please.
