Dozier to sign with the Nationals.

Contract Numbers? If he got $8 million per season for three years he should be dancing in the streets.

Happy belated birthday. My mother shares that day with you.

Quite coincidentally, Bruce's birthday is on the day my dad died

Looks like Dozier got 1 year/ 8 million
Anyone still upset we didn't extend him?

Thanks Phil
That's him. Take the abuse, and move forward. Better man than I'll ever be.
Hope he returns to what he was.

More information from the Athletic is that he had a left knee bone bruise.....LA Dodgers Dr. apparently trained him in how to treat it so he could play last season and heal it completely for this coming season.

The Cubs named Craig Breslow as Director of Strategic Initiatives for Baseball Operations. Breslow will help evaluate and implement data-based processes throughout all facets of the department and support the club's pitching infrastructure in Player Development and the majors.

What a nerd!!!!!!

The Athletics have agreed to a one-year contract with outfielder Robbie Grossman, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (Twitter link). It’s a major-league deal that lands in the $2MM range and also comes with some incentives, per Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Matt's boy RobbieG
They're almost dopplegangers, even better than the first time when he played Scotty Hatteberg

Plouffe and Jason Kubel had to be two players whose careers fell faster than a boat anchor on a cruise ship.

The White Sox and free-agent right-hander Ervin Santana have agreed to a minor league contract, Jon Heyman of the MLB Network reports (via Twitter). The contract is pending a physical. Santana will head to Major League camp and compete for a spot in a thin rotation mix.

All the times we tried converting college relievers into starters with no success. Now the Pirates have a former college reliever who we never tried to convert and he is going to start a major league ballgame. Ya gotta laugh.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (4/28/2019 11:59:35 AM)

Mr. Ed -> RE: Former Twins News (4/29/2019 4:47:12 PM)

Eduardo Escobar named NL player of the week

SoMnFan -> RE: Former Twins News (4/29/2019 8:18:44 PM)

Esky!
He’d still fit nicely here.
