I honestly don't put it past this org ...
Do they draft and acquire players with the same names ... so that they can re-use jerseys and name plates, etc? [:D]

I assume Zach Burdi is Nick's brother?

Of course a guy named Dakota Hudson went to Mississippi State. I'm just surprised he's not a NASCAR driver.

Zach is Nick's younger brother, correct.

The Alex Meyer bit is something else. He's reacting to every owie now,and the Twins are trying to make him man up.

IT's not working.

Jorge Polanco hits his first home run from the left side with the Red Wings to give Rochester a 3-2 lead in the 5th!đź’Ł

Now hitting .326

Stacey King -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/5/2016 3:28:59 PM)

The Twins placed Alex Meyer on the 7-day disabled list at Rochester on Saturday. Meyer hasn’t pitched since starting for the Twins in Houston on May 3 due to right shoulder fatigue.

Ryan said that the club hadn’t put him on the disabled list before because, in addition to there being no retroactive DL’ing in the minors, he’d been close to ready to return before not feeling great again. “He’s not doing too much down there,” Ryan said. “Which is of concern.”

Meyer has not had a cortisone shot, but will seek a second opinion from a doctor of his choosing. “We’re OK with that,” Ryan said, as Meyer’s second medical opinion will come from someone outside the scope of the team’s physicians. “That’s certainly his right. It’s not unusual.”

Meyer just another of many who get jerked around in the Twins system.

And Ryan really seems to be missing the big picture. One can infer from his remark, that seeking a second opinion ticks him off.

One should point out to Mr. Ryan that being ticked off when a player seeks another opinion should be the least of his concerns these days.

Any idea what Walkers season HR total is?
Seems to hit one pretty regularly.

TJSweens -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/5/2016 9:33:34 PM)

Walker has 11 HR. His average and OBP are atrocious. Also struck out 81 times in 184 PA.

SoMnFan -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/5/2016 9:35:01 PM)

Just looked it up too ..... OUCH
.216 average
OUCH

SoMnFan -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/5/2016 9:36:06 PM)

I would be upset with 81 Ks in 184 at-bats.
At 55
And fat
With fading eyesight.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Players and prospects III (6/6/2016 7:27:25 PM)

Polanco 2-3 tonight, up to .330

Have we tried making him an outfielder yet?

Whoops, now that they're set, they have time. [;)]

Never thought much of him after watching him at the CWS. Certainly a small sample size, but I've been negative on this kid since the start.

Boy is he a stupid player. Why not take the 3-2 pitch and take a BB? I would be willing to bet the pitch would not have been a called strike.
