I think we had her rights, but not a contract. In other words, no one else could sign her, but she was not yet signed by the Lynx.

Thanks Dude but when other than after the draft does a team hold exclusive rights to a player without having that player under contract.

She was I believe a restricted free agent. Lynx are up against the cap so since she wasn't going to show till after the Olympics if at all, they only signed her when it was clear she would in fact join the team. Likely she didn't have interest in sighing with any other team anyway. So works out for all parties.

Rebekkah Brunson also moved into the all time rebounding lead. It looks like maybe they finally shook off the Olympic hangover in the second half.

Amazing. I think winning home court advantage would be huge for us.

I knew Brunson was a great rebounder. I had no idea she was the greatest total rebounder in WNBA history. Congrats to Brunson.

That floors me.
Thought that option was lost long ago.
Great news.

Hopefully Candace Parker doesn't get away with murder as she generally does.

Turns out she is the all time Offensive Rebound leader. Still a long ways from total rebounds.

I cancelled my Direct Tv and haven't ordered WNBA pass so can't watch. Great to be kicking their butt at LA. Bring it home ladies.

The sequence in the last 10 seconds was absurd. In a 7 point game the Lynx fouled at the 3 pt line (Reeves looked like she wanted to come and strangle Perkins for that one). The Sparks make the first 2 FT, intentionally brick the 3rd one that sets up a scramble and they score a wild, horseshoe up the ass 3 with a foul on the inbound to make it a 2 pt game with 1 second left. Whalen dropped her first FT, then intentionally bricked the second to kill the clock.
