And once again Griner couldn't handle Big Syl. Fowles 17 pts / 7 reb. Griner 6 pts / 3 reb and a lot of fouls.

Nice to have one of the best bigs in the game, to go with our other assets.

Sparks cut our 19 point lead down to 6, but we score 4 points in the final seconds for a 10 point halftime lead.

Disappointing to come out so flat against an awful team.

I expected a less than great performance coming off the emotional Sparks win, but to get routed by the (previously) winless at home Sky?

At least LA lost again to "keep pace".

Home team beats down the Phx Mercury in a nice road win,88-71. Phx lost Brittney Griner to nasty leg(s) injury ... her knees and ankles were bending all kind of ways. Walked off gingerly with lots of help. Fowles was still getting the better of her.

So Sunday rematch back in St Paul, likely have the Mercury missing their center.

Sunday 7/16 6:00pm tip, TV: local FSNorth and NBA TV.

Fowles is such a mismatch for Griner. 2 games:

BG: 22.5 MPG, 10.5 PPG (47%), 3.5 RPG, 1 BPG, 4.5 PF
SF: 28.0 MPG, 17.5 PPG (58%), 9.0 RPG, .5 BPG, 4.0 PF

Best start in franchise history.

Started 13-0 last year, but then lost next 3.

All-Star Game:

Fowles and Moore voted in as starters.
Augustus voted in as a reserve.
Brunson replaces Griner due to injury.

Moore will participate in the 3pt contest.

She's been alright. Definitely not "All Star" good.

She's shooting the ball really well, but she's been very up and down game-to-game and she's struggled a lot defensively - especially with faster PGs.

She's basically platooning with Montgomery at this point, which has been great for the team.

I've said it before, you can take out the word "female" and she's still way up there.

On the "Minnesota born Mount Rushmore" for sure.

WNBA All Star Game Sat 7/22 2:30 ct on your ABC local stations

West side is all about 7 #1 over-all picks , basically a bench of vets and first timers Seattle Brianna Stewart & LA's Chelsey Gray ....
Against the East side predominately youthful first timers. Should be an interesting contrast.

3pt contest takes place at half time odd but such is life.

Watching the Lynx game until the Twins pregame starts (but I'm allowed to bail on that if Laudner is the analyst), and I'm wondering why almost all players have their legs completely covered/wrapped? Is there a medical reason?

Lindsay deserves it as much as any of them.

She's also has had her most college and Pro success in/for Minnesota.
