WOW and were robbed of the title by refs who didn't know the rules.

Ouch.

Yeah saw that. Was bummed out but they're not going to win every game.

12-0 Lynx run with Fowles back in.

Totally different team with and without her.

How good are you when Maya Moore is your second best player???

Maya 3 pointer, shot block steal, 3 pointer to pretty well put it out of reach.

Maya with HUGE back-to-back 3s* to push the lead to 9 with 1 minute left.

*And she sandwiched a blocked shot inbetween the 3s

Clear path call on Whalen was garbage. She got fouled twice before the turnover and then gets called.

In addition to ratcheting up the defensive intensity, the Lynx two best players took turns scoring the ball on the other end. Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles each scored 13 points in the final quarter. They also made seven of the team's eight FGs and nine of their 12 FTs in the fourth.

Fowles first three quarters: 9 pts, 6 rbs, 3/4 FG, 3/4 FT, 4 PF

Fowles fourth quarter: 13 pts, 4 rbs, 3/3 FG, 7/7 FT, 0 PF

Moore first three quarters: 9 pts, 3/4 FG, 1/2 3FG, 4 TO

Moore fourth quarter: 13 pts, 4/8 FG, 3/3 3FG, 1 TO

Big Syl had a number of questionable calls go against her in this game. She spent most of the game on the bench with foul trouble. Even after playing the entire fourth, she only played a total of 25 minutes.

That's ok, hope forever springs eternal for the T-pups. They gotta break through at some point in our life time
They got a long way to go but happy Wolves fans feel excited ... for what might be.

I'll continue to enjoy living in the NOW, watching history be made with every win for Augustus, Brunson, Whalen & Moore.
As Canishoopus put it the other night when the Lynx cornerstones became the winningest foursome in the short history of the WNBA:

"Talent, durability, commitment. Lynx fans have been incredibly lucky to watch this over the years. ....."

We sure have. Too bad some have been dismissive of the Lynx beacon of light on the MN sports landscape, they've been missing a good show

I'll continue to enjoy their spotlight - 122 wins, 3 Titles (and counting) together

Should be four titles. I consider that blown call in the finals last year to be unconscionable.

Let's not forget that a late blown call helped the Lynx win game 4.

Not forgetting, but it helped. It didn't flat out decide the game. The thing about the blown call in game five is the ref suspected the shot was late, but called it good anyway with a sign that it would be reviewed. However, the ref didn't understand the rules that it could only be reviewed immediately.
He/she I forget just didn't want to be bothered to take the time to review it when it was allowed. The blown call in game four was conscionable. The one in game five was unconscionable.

Well hidden win in the shadows of NBA/NHL and MLB news "locally".

Gee the Vikes didn't get in on making headlines today.

And once again Griner couldn't handle Big Syl. Fowles 17 pts / 7 reb. Griner 6 pts / 3 reb and a lot of fouls.
