Anyone watch the game? Were they as dominating as it appears from the box score?

And any guesses as to how long until Montgomery replaces Miller in the starting line up?

And whoever handled the Lynx draft last year, I want them to have major input with the T-wolves draft.

The last 3 drafts have been pretty well executed even though they have traded off all of the players from the 2007 draft. That year at least they made a bold trade and got the #1 over all pick.

I expect Miller will start at PG for the season. It's nice to have a solid vet PG run things for a very inexperienced team.

I didn't know they played back to back so I just found out about the second game. It was actually a historical game in the WNBA. The only thing that stopped the Lynx from setting an all time FG% mark was putting in reserves that brought it down to 63% for the game. Still that is the second best shooting night in WNBA history.

I did see the first game and they did look really good. They played really good D created a lot of turn overs and forced the tempo. Chicago scored 85 pts because of all the possessions not because of any short comings on D by the Lynx.

Two reasons Chicago scored so many points. One was all the possessions like you said. The other is because they shot the lights out. I think it was more about them shooting well than any defensive deficiency by the Lynx. We still won by 17.

We should find out real soon whether the Lynx are for real or not. Their next three games are against the other three teams atop the west standings Seattle Los Angeles and Phonix.

Is Phoenix the team with all of the Lynx' ex players?

3-0 after a double digit win over the Sparks. Augustus with 30, and it looks like Anosike outplayed Leslie (who fouled out in 19 minutes).

Not surprising, Leslie is getting old

I have a question for you all about Seimone Augustus. She is now 25 years old but how old do you think she looks. She has an absolute babyface. I think she looks no more than 17.

I posted a thread about this on the ESPN WNBA message board and got mostly agreement except for some saying that her tattoos made her look older to them. Here is a picture that I have confirmed was taken in 2008. Take a look and tell me if you think based on this picture that she looks over 20.

I'd say she looks like a college kid ~20.

I just graduated from college at age 50. I have to admit that my fellow classmates looked like Kids to me. 20 is a reasonable assessment. Still I think Seimone looks younger than about 90% of my recent classmates.

Jim Peterson was on KFAN today.  He's now one of the assistant coaches for the Lynx.  He described the Lynx as a team that goes up and down the court that can also defend.  Possibly tonights game with Seattle matches the top two teams in the league.

It seems very strange to call the Lynx who did not even make the playoffs last year one of the top two teams in the league but I can actually believe it.

That is correct sir. I had in my mind that they started 6-0 but I have been reading 5-0 elsewhere.

You know, there's this thing called the internet, and you can find pretty much any information on it...

http://www.wnba.com/lynx/schedule/2008/

5-0, 6-1, then losing the next 5.

The reason I mentioned the record is to remind myself not to get to excited. I did last year.

It is IMO obvious by watching them that this years team is better than last years.
