When you start the season the way so many of us started last year - the SMART way to go is with the obvious pick.

As far as I'm concerned y'all just skated by this week. I could have very well won it if a play or two went different here and there...

I had KC. It only took their biggest comeback in their history for me to survive.

I was never worried.

Well played Karl. I thought I took the obvious easy pick. Whoever was playing the Bears. In this case it was Houston.

Survived!

Here's hoping Seattle blows it for a bunch of you! Punished for taking the consensus pick.

So your posturing only lasted one week. Looks like you went for the consensus pick in week 2. Any explanation or did you suddenly come to your senses?

If previous years are any indication, you don't have much to worry about.

you did the right thing todd.. i was shocked that the browns were up 20-0, and it was only the first quarter..

but hey,, it's the team that though johnny football was going to be a "supastar"...

I spent the whole day thinking I had picked the seahags against the rams in survivor, but nope.. it was in picks pool

I am currently the WORST picker of winning teams by pool points..

the rams defense was solid.. they have seattle's number, for some reason..

and i thought more highly of oakland's defense than i should have..

oh well..

If Cleveland can pull this off the pool will be decimated.

Between Dan, who is through, and myself - who will need to get through with a Seattle win.

Oops, I whiffed on making a pick this week. I knew it was a matter of time. I can be pretty absent minded that way sometimes.

On the plus side, tonight Drew Brees has propelled me to a 1st place win in a 100 player FanDuel tournament. $125 first prize on a $5 entry fee. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

I'm not sure what's worse Karl - to make a pick and get booted (darn you Arizona) or to forget to make a pick at all.

Anyway - the final sign that you're a loser with Survivor is when you don't get a reminder e-mail to get your pick in. I guess I'll just have to focus all of my energy on the regular picks pool.

I know this is not related to the fantasy picks here, but I have a question. I have Julian Edelman on one of my fantasy teams and was wondering if he would gain points for playing QB even if he is still listed at WR. If so, it would be awesome to get QB stats out of a WR position and still play your actual QB. Any thoughts?

If the fantasy league gives points per statistical category, then why not?

.. QB's get points for rushing yards. like Newton does..

Should work, most leagues just give the points for the stats without specifying position so yeah, should be great opportunity there.

I was wondering that myself while making out a lineup. I do FanDuel. I could be wrong, but I think they give points if like a RB throws a pass. So why not for a receiver who plays QB? It would be the same thing.

It's good to know the rules and scoring of your particular fantasy league. Usually all scenarios are covered.

In terms of FanDuel, if a WR, RB or TE throws a pass, the points count. However, if a kicker throws a pass, on a fake, or botched FG attempt, the points are not credited to the kicker.

2 point conversions are also scored differently. If a pass catcher scores a 2 point conversion, he is credited with 2 points. No half point for the reception, and no fractional points for the yardage.

I'm not sure what you mean - did the site not register your pick? Or did it show up as Denver when you think you picked Buffalo?

What time of day did you make your pick? Is it possible it was after the time to pick was closed? I can't remember without looking back at that site what the cutoff is.
