ORIGINAL: Tom Sykes CB is by far a bigger need. We have some young talented players but you are talking about replacing four full-time starters from last year (if we trade Harris), regardless of how they played. Diggs is a vast hole to fill but its one hole, a committee approach will be ok IF the OL is fixed ... IMO the second biggest need after CB. Actually, the two are too close to call. Although ... keep in mind ... as long as we have succubus Dillon Mitchell with negative WR talent on the roster, we will be hurting at that position. I’m not familiar with black hole theory but, according to astrophysicists, Mitchell brings the same skill set. Still - we have one very good player at WR and Sharpe / Johnson, battling for #s 3-4. We are one high draft pick and whatever else comes our way by the season opener in January from NOT hurting at WR. That’s very faint praise. But it is what it is. IMO we have 2 OK CBs with potential. We have one good WR zero depth behind him. By that math WR is the bigger need of the two. We have zero adequate guards. Needs in order. Guard WR CB 3T We need to take advantage of this great WR class and draft two kind of early. Maybe another late. If we replaced every WR other than Thielen on the roster that would be a good thing. It's OK if you see it differently. You can make a wild guess how the Vikings view our young players but the bottomline is: Top 3 WRs from last year: 1 gone ... with one FA just added to the mix. Top 3 CBs from last year: 3 gone ... with zero added to the mix. Solid. Rhodes though should have an asterisk in that he was 'top' because he was a starter, knew the scheme, blind-faith, blah, blah. But really a guy selling beer at the stadium would have done just as well.
