Cousins not getting vaccinated will likely blow up in their face during the regular season. Only the vaccine gets the protocols lessened (that's my understanding).

Just being real my man. RS did some really good things in the offseason IMO and he can't control the Covid crap. He also tried hard to upgrade the OLine even though that still scares the crap out of me. What I can't understand is the K situation. They did absolutely nothing there and it's been a huge problem since Zimmer has been here.

I think the kicking is directly attributable to Zimmer. I honestly believe that he gets inside the kickers heads and messes them up.

Yeah, it's either that or the Minnesota weather ....

We play in a dome for home games. Advantage to kickers. There was that season at TCF bank stadium though.
I truly believe it's Zimmer. He's the one constant.

no team is perfect. We added way more talent than I had expected before the offseason started.
I haven't been this excited for a season in at least 5 years. We are loaded back up on defense and the offense should be very good. Hopefully as the season progresses so does the offensive line. A lot things need to go right for every team. We are set up great for this season.
Kicking ok sure, but it can't get any worse. Things are looking up. we are getting the Covid wake up call out of the way early. What could have been better than Mond getting Covid right now under the current circumstances?

The negativity just amazes me sometimes. The biggest difference from this year to last is we added a ton of talent and we have a ton of talent healthy and back again.
I swear many of you walk around your car in the morning to debate which tire is going to fall off today or how long before my wife cheats on me?

It will be a fun ride this year, things are looking damn good.

I'm totally with you except for this Freaking Stupid Vaccination situation. If our players play we might hoist the Lombardi at the end of the year, but our players playing is far from something we can count on.

Some are worrying about failure and I see potential greatness.

I see greatness as long as our players play. It is kind of embarrassing to read that we are the least vaccinated team in the NFL.

It’s not Worthless…

You are 80+ % protected, but can get a breakthrough infection, or be a carrier if exposed to the delta variant..

You will have a way smaller reaction to the delta if vaccinated, as opposed to putting death and organ damage back on the table if you are unvaccinated…

It’s the failure to educate oneself on what the delta variant of the virus can and will do, not only to yourself, but to innocent, even fully vaccinated people, that is so frustrating.

It’s more contagious than chicken pox, and damages every major organ system in your body..

It can cripple you for life, kill unvaccinated people, and is especially dangerous for children, who CANNOT be vaccinated, at this time because they are still in trial phase for children under 12 years of age..

To me, that kind of irresponsible behavior is founded in sheer stupidity.

Speaking for myself, learning that some of the team leaders are staunchly anti-vax has really taken away from my excitement. It's hard for me to separate off the field from on the field. Usually in off the field BS it's a guy or maybe 2. Knowing that 30-35% of the team is the way they are - including guys like Cousins, Thielen, Harrison - makes it harder to get into it. I have to think that no matter what platitudes are being spewed right now by the vaxxed contingent on the team, the negative spotlight likely has an effect too. Hard to be a team when we don't have player leadership on an issue that divisive. I'm not a huge Zimmer guy but I am thoroughly impressed with his outspoken approach to addressing the team morons.

And as far as on the field, I was already skeptical that there would be O line improvement. Darrisaw is highly unlikely to play at a league average or better level. Davis, meh. I think Bradbury stinks and is a huge bust. Hope I'm wrong there. Cleveland is yet another guy we decide in our infiinte wisdom to move to an unnatural position. And that's just the O line.

Kicker appears to be a huge question mark again because...why wouldn't it be?

The defense should be better assuming reasonable health. But I think there's a reason a lot of these guys were willing to take one year deals. Are they 'steals' or simply getting the best offer they could? Jury still way out in my opinion.

Because of the whole Covid situation, something that's flown mostly under the radar is we completely wasted a 1st round draft pick in 2020. Other than Jefferson (which appears to be a homerun), when is the last good 1st round draft pick Spielman has made?

Too long didn't read - I personally was pretty skeptical before all this Covid stuff started. I can't imagine this situation, especially given how public it's been, can possibly help from a team building standpoint. And apparently these guys won't change their minds so you have some of the vet leaders who by league protocol can't be in the same room, workout together, have dinner together, etc. I think that's enough of a difference maker for team chemistry that it really dampens my outlook.
