ORIGINAL: twinsfan Royce Lewis is projected to lead the Twins in HR this season??? I guess I'm not seeing it. My guess would be Wallner. Miranda and France are dark horses, depending on playing time. --------------------------------------- Twins: Royce Lewis (26) 2024 leader: Carlos Santana (23) Three of the Twins’ top four projected home run hitters -- Lewis, Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa -- all face the same question: Can they stay healthy enough to put up numbers that match their talent? Keep an eye on … Matt Wallner (22): His contact quality is at the top of the scale, and he raked after returning from the Minors last July (.282/.386/.559 in 62 games). Wallner and Lewis hit HR at roughly the same rate. My guess is they factored in the impact injuries had on Lewis' output. It's all speculation meant to drive debate. I don't see France and Miranda as even dark horses. Miranda's power output is too sporadic. France has reached 20 once in his career.
