Joke.

I shouldn't have shared that with you. It was meant for season ticket holders.

It was a decent damage control email. But this is not a team that is serious about winning.

You can find the whole letter on the internet. I've already read it and laughed about how full of shit it sounded to me.

It's weird that you would try to find the letter on the internet.

Not as weird as you lying about it being for season ticket holder's eyes only.

Its been published in full everywhere. SI ran it, as did KMSP.

Don't think for a second that the Twins didn't want as many eyes on it as possible.

I imagine Alan Roden will immediately be plugged into the every day lineup. His AB in the majors have been sporadic this year, but he has been crushing AAA pitching for 2 years.

Outman has also been crushing AAA pitching.

If we are going to call up a AA OF, I would rather see Jenkins.

And to replace the 40% of the team they traded away the Twins called up the following,.

RHP Travis Adams
RHP Pierson Ohl
RHP Jose Ureña
RHP Erasmo Ramirez
INF Edouard Julien
INF Ryan Fitzgerald
OF Alan Roden
UTIL Austin Martin

Boy oh boy! Isn't this exciting.

I've been thinking for a while that Martin should be up here instead of Kiersey.

Julien should be on his last chance.

Notably missing is Luke Keashall.

And that does leave ONE roster spot open.
but I susspect that will be for Ober tomorrow.

Not that 31 is old but why Fitzgerald over Keaschall? Most exciting player on team when healthy.

Lots of time between now and April, but a 13-man staff of

Lopez, Ryan, Ober
Matthews, Bradley, Festa, SWR, Abel
Sands, Prielipp, Ohl, Adams, Funderburk/Misiewicz

will be better than a lot of teams.

Rojas, Raya, Morris, Culpepper, Lewis, etc still in the wings...

So I'm right.

Nope. You mentioned competing this year. No way. 26 or 27 maybe. But Taj Abel Zebby and Festa are still prospects. Ober has regressed this year. Pablo isn’t as dominate this year. That leaves Ryan. Lots of ifs buts and maybes.

This year hasn’t been pretty.

I'd like to see that older pitcher the Twins got for Correa. He'd probably be better than Paddack.

It’s a long and treacherous journey from here to that, but Tait has the highest realistic ceiling of any player traded at the deadline so far.

Hmmmm. He's 18. And i heard he's not really a catcher long-term. I like the pitcher Abel and.the prospect from the Blue Jays more. But I hope the 18 year-old is all the experts think he will be.

Never been a big baseball fan so I find it strange that every year some teams are wholesale sellers. Even some teams that are not that far out of playoff contention go into sell mode. Why not try to keep talent? They trade a decent player for team's arbitrary #8 prospect and a 30 year old never was. Most of those prospects don't pan out.

I don't know. Maybe the draft is too much of a crap shoot but it's a strange way to supposedly improve the team. It's like some teams are basically farm teams who nurture players and trade them to contenders.

Does MLB have a spending floor?

Tait is 18 and already playing high A ball. Scouting reports say his catching has improved quite a bit this year and he has a good chance of sticking there. Abel and Roden are a lot closer, but Tait has the bigger upside.

Rocco managing late innings like he is pouting about the trades. Not trying to win.

He lets Gasper bat in a big moment Friday night. Not sure if he came within 18 inches of the ball on his swings.

Today, down one in the 9th, Julien smokes one, thinks it is gone, trots and only ends up on 2nd instead of 3rd. Then he makes Kiersey bunt the whole at bat(he looks like he hasn't bunted since little league). Foul ball strikeout. Then Roden and Larnach wave at pitches and both strike out.

The issue is Martin had 3 or 4 hits the night before and didn’t start today. Keirsey should be the late pinch hitter. He can’t hit and our depth for hitting is the issue. They were short 2 hitters all season. Now short about 4 without Buck

Rocco never bunts in those situations. I think he was trying to really show up Julien, who should have been on 3rd.

And yes, Martin looked great at he plate Friday night. Roden looked horrible Friday and got the start over him.
