ORIGINAL: twinsfan In 42 games for High-A Cedar Rapids, Culpepper has a .304/.400/.506 slash line with eight home runs, 14 steals in 16 attempts, and high marks for his defense at short. He’s maintained his calling card of controlling the strike zone, making him one of the best all-around players in the Midwest League. Call up Culpepper NOW! Matt's channeling his inner Maynard Gunther. Do you think it's a pretty good idea? They should move him to AA. I agree. Jumping from High A to the Majors is quite a bit of a stretch and can hobble his development. OK Terry....err....I mean Scott. No, Terry was old play them a full year at each level type. A jump from A to the majors is unlikely to be successful. Put him at AA now and AAA in another month. Yep, and see how fast he adjusts to each level.
