Genuinely sorry to see NAW go. He’s a quality, dude, and a key contributor. But I’m fully resigned to the business nature of sports. In that regard, I don’t get too attached to players anymore. They come and they go. Whatever. And this was expected after Naz and Randle signed. And to be honest, he was probably the most easily replaceable. Notably by a guy already on the roster. Shannon Jr. Look for his role to be increased. At a cheaper price.

NAW is a very good player. Probably as solid of a 3 and D guy as there is in the league. Failed miserably as a lead scorer and reinvented his game completely as a terrific roleplayer. He's probably maxed out his abilities as he has a very limited handle and no ability to create offense, but he knows his role and does it well.

We'll be OK. Clark is an even better defender that shockingly shot 47/43/78 in his first year. And TSJ adds a wing dynamic on offense that this team has desperately needed.

If Clark is better, why wasn't he playing over NAW?

He's not better. At least not yet.

He has never been a favorite of mine, but is there any reason/chance of the Wolves making a play in the next 12 months for D Lillard services? As I understand it finances are basically completely removed from his situation.

Not sure when Dame would be ready to play. Maybe mid season, at the earliest? My guess is that he will focus on his rehab and keep tabs on how the season starts out in the fall. Then maybe put out feelers to select teams in January, if he thinks there's a fit and a chance for him to win a title.

Can a 35 year old Dame return and be as effective since he isn't a size guy? He is the same height as Rob although built bigger of course.

Some FA possibilities: Brogdon, Russ, CPIII, Dinwiddie, Lowry, Fultz, Exum but who would take 5 million or less out of the bunch.

That's my guess. Probably sometime after the trade deadline when things are falling into place, he'll see what contending team will be a good fit.

And he'll sign with them for the minimum for the rest of the season because there is no financial gain for him to sign for anything above that over the next 2 years.

This is the guy:

Chris Haynes:
Milwaukee Bucks are rescinding the qualifying offer of promising young guard Ryan Rollins and he will now become an unrestricted free agent, league sources tell me.

22 years old. 6'4 with a 6' 9.75" wingspan would be great to pair with Conley and Dilly.

Career 48/42/81 shooter. Averages 3 Stocks/36 and has been a significantly plus defender the past 2 years.

We need to snap him up.

There's a guy that used to play for the Wolves that was doing point-shaving.

Yep and there are a couple of clips toward end of games with the Wolves and Detroit that doesn't help him. Going to cost him a lot.

Fitting. Garza goes to the place of the origin of the victory cigar.

It's serendipity I tell you.

Those of us wondering if there's going to be a bridge PG on the cheap can cross Dinwiddie off the list.

Yeah I for sure didn’t see it there.
