Doubt Cincy trades Burrow unless he eventually wants out.

Agreed. The only way Cincy would trade away their franchise QB in his prime and absorb $56 million in dead cap is if Burrow forces the issue. This whole thing started because Burrow made some cryptic comments recently and the NFL rumor mill is running with it.

Per an article from Russini apparently Burrow doesn't want out of Cincinnati but he is tired of losing, his week 14 post-game remarks were said out of a desire to win. I assume he's trying to throw his weight to bring some needed change to the org more or less.

PS on an unrelated note thanks Toby for assisting me with the IP ban issue so I can finally browse and post from my home PC! I stopped posting as I could only use the site from my phone and that's more of a hassle than it's worth.

What are you all hoping to see for the rest of the season with the vikes?

Barring a 4th quarter miracle by the Browns, the Vikings will be eliminated from the Playoffs before tipoff.

Speaking of playoffs. Chiefs not making it and Mahomes went down with, what looked to be bad, a knee injury on the last drive.

KOC to JJM: be like me, a slow pocket passer.

Payton to Nix: be like Brees, a dynamic QB.

I was listening to Seattle game, and it sounded like Sam choked another 1st half of a big game, at home, against a mediocre defense that also didn't have Sauce Gardner, just producing field goals, and falling behind to Old Man Rivers.

But thanks to a strong supporting cast, the Seahawks won the game.

It doesn't seem like Sam would have been worth price, would rather take a step back this year and see if McCarthy can develop into something.

**** all the talk about Joe burrow..

Kwesi might suck at drafting.. or his picks might take a couple years to develop..

I’m not sure which is true, anymore..

But giving up multiple draft picks for injury prone,Ayer’s ISPROVEN, BY FAR, to suck far worse than missing on a draft pick.

You get nothing for picks you can’t take.. and our shelling out of draft picks has got us basically bad choices in return..

Not getting Hamilton.. in exchange for Cine?

Just stop trying to be cute and maneuver picks..

I think we should prioritize extending Nailor.

He and McCarthy have really good chemistry.

He's looking like the best receiver of the 3 lately.

+1 on both posts. Outside of the 2 TDs last night Nailor hasn't done much, but he makes the best of his limited opportunities. He's probably being eyed big-time by a lot of teams as an under-the-radar type.

9 Games in---have to keep playing JJ. He has shown the chops for Prime Time games for sure.

So far so good.

Looked like he had more time in the pocket as well, or he was getting rid of the ball quicker.

The worst part is not the missed 2024 season.

Much worse is that McCarthy is basically a rookie in 2025. And we were supposed to be a serious team in 2025.

I had that game on in the background, so I "saw" most of it. He was shaky in the first half for sure but on the final drive to win it he fired 2 lasers that got them in to FG range and both were against the blitz.

Part of it is the slow wind up. It's something that can definitely be corrected.

That and it is a low release.

Re: JJ’s mechanics.

Plenty of examples of QBs who were able to clean that up. It’s not something to work on midseason. The weekly grind of preparing for games is enough on his plate. But make it an off-season project. He’s still so young. The QB we are seeing now is far, far from a finished product. But it’s easy to see that there is a ton of potential, along with all the intangibles to make him be that franchise quarterback eventually.

Biggest key....big moments aren't big for him. He shook off the first INT before he got to the sideline.
