More rumored UDFA, not particularly impressive so far. Nobody super high on the consensus board, although Dillon Bell and Scooby Williams are in the top 300.

Maybe these are the easy guys, where only the Vikes are interested.

OT Tristian Leigh, Clemson
LB Scooby Williams, Texas A&M
OL Tomas Rimac, Virginia Tech
RB Kejon Owens, FIU
EDGE Cam'Ron Stewart, Temple

A three-time team captain for the Bearcats, Gerhardt anchored an offensive line that was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, an award that goes to the nation’s best offensive line. The Bearcats allowed just eight sacks as a team in 2025, and Gerhardt had one of the lowest rates of pressure allowed in the country at the center position.

Gerhardt also has plenty of experience, as he started 49 games in his career with the Bearcats.

Gerhart might be a sleeper pick our scouts dug up. Maybe that's why we were not in a hurry to draft a center.

Or the BLESTO scouts dug up.

The Minnesota Vikings use BLESTO.

Affiliation: The Vikings have a long-standing association with the BLESTO scouting combine, a service that helps teams evaluate college talent.

Personnel: The Vikings employ personnel with specific BLESTO responsibilities, such as a designated "College Scout/BLESTO" and a dedicated BLESTO scout for regions like the Central Plains.

Context: BLESTO (which historically included the Bears, Lions, Eagles, and Steelers, though the lineup has changed) is one of the two major scouting services in the NFL, the other being National Football Scouting.

Would ATL give up a 2nd for Greenard with their Edge Pearce in some serious legal trouble?

The Falcons don't have a first rounder this year and just 2 in the top 100 and 5 overall so they may want to keep that 2nd.

I'd push for their 2027 first.

We have no leverage. And any buyer is facing giving up something for a player who wasn't all that in 2025 plu.s increasing his salary by who knows how much or be left with a one-year rental.

If he wants more $, the regime won't give him more, and we want to stockpile picks - basically where the two sides are at an impasse and next year he will finish his contract and walk for nothing in return - then we should just shop him for the highest bid

He's certainly not worth a first, even if it's a year away. Let the market decide. Be happy if we get a third either this year or next.

Bump.

i wonder if we could use jake golday as a back-up edge guy as well as inside lb...he 'combined' better than van ginkel and greenard - he's got the size, speed, and general athleticism....

golday could rotate with wilson, and then also with turner/van ginkel....

We didn't draft any flashy names during the draft, but overall I thought it was a decent draft. We freed up some cap space with the Gernard trade and yes we should have gotten a little more value but that is the way it goes. I would really like if we pick a free agent wide receiver to help that squad.

Wondering about that too. And/or Flores might want to utilize Golday in some of his wild schemes like fielding five linebackers, in which case he needs to be smart and a quick learner.

Epensea is definitely not an edge in a 3-4 (OLB). He could fit as a DE but they may be looking at getting TID more snaps.

Glad we invested a little more at the position. When more details come out, will be interesting to see which of these guys we recruited the hardest.

One of my favorite changes is being able to protect up to 4 players on the practice squad. I'd do it every year with OL. Give them a year to lift and study.

interesting how we didn't close the greenard trade until we'd secured golday...watching golday's highlights, he's got strong blitz ability in his arsenal....
