And now we can get back to watching Wild games that start at decent times. Having games end at midnight is annoying.

Yup, I have never been a fan of these west coast road trips and late start times. Will be nice to see a normal 7PM start time tomorrow.

Move to the West Coast. 7 PM start for me and you get the added bonus of NFL games at 10, 1 and 5. It makes for a great day of watching!

The way it's looking these days, if I move anywhere it will be to Thunder Bay....

Great little city. We use play a tourney every year with those guys. They'd come and stay at our houses and we would go up there and stay at thiers. Great times and the first time I heard of ham and pineapple on pizza

Probably. "Hawaiian Pizza" was invented in Canada.

3-3 late mid 3rd. I forgot to watch until just now. KK, Boldy and Jones with Goals. Hughes assisting on all 3. Hughes doesn't score goals, but he has a part in a lot of them.

With about 3:45 remaining to 3:11 remaining the Wild had a handful of good opportunities with KK having the best of them, but couldn't find the net. Overtime.

Gustavson sucks. Wild lose despite getting the best of the scoring ops and least what I saw. I hate losing even if we get a point.

Well, the one and done playoff Wild team is reappearing at a rink near you.....
Time for Guerin to make a move soon or this thing could quickly fall apart. Too many passengers the last few games with Foligno and Tarasenko leading the pack. Both of them are just too slow to keep up any more. Losing Ek for a few games shows he is still the most important player on this team and it shows how badly we need another high end center.
It's time Billy, get us another top center or else forget about making a run.

There were rumors about a week ago that Guerin was about to pull the trigger on another big trade - this one a forward. Still waiting.

Even though I've generally been a fan of them - I'd trade Hartman and Foligno, but I that wouldn't be close to enough to bring in a top forward to replace them.

The biggest problem last night was we couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in the first. Damn, we had so many good scoring opps. That shoulda been about 3-0 after 1.

Yeap. Not our 'best' but one of the most important for sure. His problem is always going to be injuries though. It's the way he plays.

Another beat down at home, this time at the hands of Winnipeg. This time without Ek and Brodin and an AHL 4th line again. I sure miss Rossi right about now when I see who we having lining up at center. Our defense isn't holding up and the goalies appear to be starting to struggle. The annual mid-season slump has started with only 10 games before the Olympics break. Maybe Brodin and Ek will miss out for the Olympics and get some needed rest for the stretch run. Oh, did I mention our superstar looks average at best and Boldy has been spinning his wheels lately too
Becoming hard to watch again..

Basically echoing your words but in order for me:

JEE is a catalyst for this team.
Bad goaltending.
Our D is way too loose now. it's like they see how Hughs plays and they try to be him. They can't.

He has been playing hurt for a month as has Erickson Ek

Didn't get to see it but a nice road win. Don't love that we gave up 4 again but Buff was one of the hotter teams in the league.

We were up 3-1 and a couple of tough shifts without clearing the d-zone when we had a chance and boom....tied at 3.
Went into OT tied at 4 on the PP and were able to close it out for the extra point that was badly needed.

And scoring his 17th for the Sabres.was Alex Tuch. Remember him? The guy we gave up so we wouldn't lose Dumbo in the expansion draft. 187 goals later, that trade still has to rate as Fletcher's all time worst.

The Wild are reported to be interested in Vincent Trocheck from the Rangers and NY is willing to move him. Trocheck is 32 and arguably a top 6 center. The problem I have is that Yurov is one of the names that comes up in rumors. I'd love to add Trocheck if Yurov isn't part of the deal. Yurov would be a deal breaker for me. His game is growing and he is just scratching the surface of what he is going to be. Yurov is also 11 years younger and bigger and faster than Trocheck.

He is more untouchable than Wallstedt or our draft pick playing for MSU in my book.

A snippet from Russo and Smith from this morning:

Usually big trades at the deadline require parting with a first-round pick, meaning the Wild’s 2027 first-rounder is in play. And if the Wild are going to part with more young players, that could include Jesper Wallstedt (expendable because Filip Gustavsson is signed until 2031), Danila Yurov (less likely because he is absolutely on the rise and cheap with a $950K average annual value until 2028), Jiricek, Charlie Stramel, Adam Benak, Hunter Haight, Riley Heidt, Carson Lambos, David Spacek and others. Still, their A+ prospects are mostly gone.

We’ve assembled some names potentially on the trade block and whether or not they may make sense.

Vincent Trocheck
The 32-year-old Rangers center has three years left on a contract that pays him $5.625 million annually. He has a 12-team no-trade list, and we know Guerin and his staff have a great admiration for him as he was just named to the USA Olympic team.

Since 2016-17, he’s one of the best faceoff men in the NHL at 54.9 percent, and since 2000-01, the Wild are the third-worst. He’s a right shot, so he conceivably can even be put in the bumper position (where he’s great) on the No. 1 power play, which would put Kirill Kaprizov into a better shooting position.

As of now, contrary to reports, we don’t get the impression the Wild have inquired … yet. But it makes sense that they would. They’d just have to be comfortable taking on three more years of Trocheck.

The issue is, teams are starved for centers, and if New York Islanders rental Brock Nelson got a first-round pick and a top prospect from Colorado last deadline, Rangers general manager Chris Drury’s going to want a haul for Trocheck. The Wild may not have what it would take to get him.

I would hate to lose either Wally or Yurov, but that may be what it takes to get a top 6 center or scoring wing.....

I think there is a good chance Yurov is better than Trocheck by this time next year. The kid has a high high ceiling. The more I look at it, this rumor may be a case of a hockey writer trying to create a self fulfilling prophecy. Guerin and Troceck have a good relationship from team USA. The Rangers are open to moving Troceck ergo Billy will try to acquire him.

I would do a Hartman and Wally trade. Best case would be Jiricek and Stramel.
