Finch says that video shows at least four of Wemby's blocks clearly should have been called goal tending and a couple more were less obvious, but could have been called. He was ticked off as 8 points is huge in a playoff game.

I thought I saw a couple blocks that were clearly after the ball hit the backboard. They were so obvious that I wondered if the goaltending rule had changed.

I wondered if the highlights would have any examples, and one was right away: Shannon's layup hits the backboard before the block. Clearly a blown call.
https://youtu.be/R1ErdXotXUI?t=88 (cued up)

Maybe Wemby gets these calls because so often he blocks the ball into the backboard?

I can't judge "ball coming down," but I had questions...

With Donte and Ayo out and Ant on a minutes restriction, I was not expecting a win. There is a lot of next man up resilience to this team. I don't expect they will hold Wemby to 29% shooting for the playoffs, but they did a good job of bouncing him around.

TSJ being healthy and fresher than anyone on the floor sure does help....but it is amazing how tough the Wolves are......guessing a few goaltends will be called tonight.....

I have a fun idea. It's a friendly challenge to DL. We will each draft a 12-player team of all-time Wolves players. Then we'll debate which team is better. You can have the first pick, and we'll alternate picks until our rosters are full.

With the first pick in the all-Wolves draft DL selects...

Are Pistons or Cavs a better matchup for the Wolves?

I pick Spud Webb. I’m going for all time ‘I forgot he actually played for the Wolves’ lineup.

Wemby gets kicked out for a flagrant 2 in the second quarter and the Wolves don't seem inclined to do anything about it. They're just playing terrible basketball .

I wouldn’t say terrible. They did win. Even without Wemby that’s still something. But I will 90% agree with you. They plodded along and did enough to win…on their home court…with a team missing its star and difference maker. But there is no spark. No time where everything is clicking and you think this is a team to be reckoned with.

They did OK, but OK isn’t gonna cut it when you gave home court advantage back in the previous game, and even if you beat San Antonio, OKC awaits.

To my eyes ithe 3rd quarter was terrible. Bring the ball up the court. Chuck an off target 3 early in the clock. Get back on defense just in time to see them take it right to the rim and score. Rinse and repeat.

But they won. So I give them credit for that despite the style point deductions.

The Timberwolves are so banged up....the only healthy guys in the top 8 are Conley, Randle, and Gobert. I was going to add TSJ but he looked like he hurt a foot in the 4th quarter.

We are playing too fast IMO. This isn't Denver where uptempo wears out the 2 main guys.....SA has young guys up and down their bench.

Yeah, San Antonio is very good attacking in transition. The Wolves gotta get back.

All I know is that from now on we need to be on the other side of the bracket from OKC and San Antonio if possible. Let them battle it out before we play them.

I'd let Wemby keep shooting 3's all night long. Keep Rudy on him.

Randle-El sucks. Dante almost as bad and injured. There had to be a way to keep KAT, and we'd be walking to a title right now.

On the bright side, Twins are looking great tonight after a really good series vs the Guardians.

89 pitch complete game shutout by Ober. Haven't seen one of those in a long time. I remember being at a 74 pitch complete game by Carlos Silva that lasted less than 2 hours. LOL

"Carlos Silva threw his career-low pitch count in a complete game on May 20, 2005, while pitching for the Minnesota Twins. He threw just 74 pitches in a 7-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers."

The way these NBC announcers are talking, it sounds like this is rigged for the Spurs and OKC to go to the WCF as a "decade rivalry." So stupid.

Seriously. 4 to 6 minutes left. We are not trying to catch up. If that's the case (be as it may), why the hell are your best players still out there???? Especially injury'prone players like Anthony Edwards? McDaniels is out there too. I don't care much about Randle-El, but he's out there too and very focused on padding stats. I guess that's "showing up" in his book?
