Ayo getting better with each game. As much as I hate to say it. He is the right guy with the ball against this team. He attacks the rim.

Somehow win in five and hope who we face goes 7.

Ayo was Ant-Like last night.

Jaden backs up his talk and dominates.

Fun to watch.

I wish Ant played more like Ayo. He'd be the best player in the league if he did.

Ant loves to play slow and methodical. He makes slow decisions and generally has to go against set defenses.

Ayo is a blur with intent. He attacks the basket at every opportunity, he pushes the ball in transition every time, he's never sticky with the ball and he's always thinking 1 or 2 moves ahead.

100% agree. Ant can be simultaneously one of the most entertaining and one of the most aggravating players to watch. Every time the Wolves are forced to play without him, I'm amazed at how much better the ball movement is. That said, I sure wish we had him for our next game. Thank God nothing was torn or fractured. V ery sad that Donte wasn't as fortunate.

When I saw Ayo was also out, I got grumpy. And then Anderson was out sick. Geez.

Playing into the 3rd string at guard, no depth up front. Basically impossible.

And they still won. Wow.

Great coaching.

Jayden McDaniels was prophetic...just keep taking the ball right at all those bad defenders. TJS Jr was next man up and had the speed and finishing ability to do just that.

That was crazy... he took hunting bad defenders to a new level! He should trademark that phrase because he deserves to own it.

Be nice to get Shannon healthy and back by playoffs.

I don't see it.

The injury is a bummer, but he was terrible before that.

He has absolutely no right hand. Watching even bad teams super overplay his left to start this season tells us that his success against OKC last year was because he was totally unscouted.

So now you're left with a guy who looks the part, but is a bad defender, a streaky shooter and his main weapon, the drive, is easily taken away.

Not good for a guy who will soon turn 26.

I thought of this post every time TSJ drove the hoop in game 6; did Denver ever successfully force him to his right hand? šŸ‘

Bad scouting, or bad prep? Both? It's amazing that Denver didn't understand how to defend him.

Anyone have details of how the injured players are progressing?

Austin Rivers on Dan Patrick Show was saying the same thing about Houston and Kevin Durant. He said Houston was better without Durant. With Durant they tend to stand around and rely on Durant more. All I could think of was the Wolves with vs without Edwards. I wouldn’t go as far as saying they’re better without Edwards, but it’s not as great of a loss as people think, because the Wolves are deep and they adapt to more ball movement and team play without Edwards.

Of course when Edwards is on, he can carry the team for an entire quarter or more when they’re struggling. That’s the trade off.

I'm surprised people are counting down to Ant's potential return in the minimum of two weeks. That's really unlikely.

The team really needs somebody back, though. I assume Anderson will be over his illness. But they could really use some minutes from Ayo.

Outside of Peyton Watson and maybe Aaron Gordon, they just don’t have anyone at all that can defend in space (or at the rim). And those 2 guys didn’t play.

Ant cleared by doctors. Now questionable for game 1.

Ant is GTD? Wow. That's too fast for me to trust that they're making a good medical decision. Rumor has it he was at the shoot around this morning. So what do I know. ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Ayo out. :(

Ant has nothing structurally wrong, so it’s only pain management at this point.

And he’s not going to get better until the offseason, so if he felt he could play there is really no difference if it’s game 1 or he waited until game 4 (or 7).

TSJ is looking like another savior also......if TSJ, Ayo and Ant are all good to go soon there is a shot at taking the title.

With Donte and Ayo out and Ant on a minutes restriction, I was not expecting a win. There is a lot of next man up resilience to this team. I don't expect they will hold Wemby to 29% shooting for the playoffs, but they did a good job of bouncing him around.

Attacking him constantly like we did - despite all the blocks (and obvious goaltends..) wore him out and his offense suffered greatly.

And he’s definitely not built to handle 40 minutes.

This is the best Rudy has performed in the playoffs. He actually matches up well against Wemby. He also did as good as possible against Jokic.
Barkley was trying to get Shaq to say Rudy did a good job the last series----he still wouldn't.

I was starting to think I didn't understand the goaltending rule.

In the second half, it looked like the T-wolves did a better job of putting a body on Wemby and sealing him off. For example, on the play where Castle fouled out, Ant (?) sealed Wemby to give Shannon a clear left-hand drive to the bucket. I remember another where Randle (?) just backed Wemby away from the bucket to give Ant an uncontested rim.

And whenever Wemby sat down, the Spurs defense looked markedly weaker. Slash, slash, open rim.

Yeah, I guess the bone bruise was nowhere near as bad as I feared.

Ant came unglued at the end, though. Made me nervous. His post-game interview was kinda funny. Reporter: Great to win the first game? Ant: I made three mistakes at the end. Reporter: You weren't even expected to play. Ant: Mentally I wasn't there. I will play better. Reporter: Your team is injured, underdogs... Ant: Resilient team. I gotta box out.

If the T-wolves can get 10-15 solid minutes from Ayo, they are going to be ferociously difficult for the Spurs to handle. David, do the Spurs have enough depth at G/SF to handle the T-wolves? Didn't look like it.

Harper and Castle are really good defenders. Good size, great athletes. Castle especially is really persistent and has great feet. But he's young and we were able to foul him out.

Fox is small and fast, but cam't defend at all.

Their big problem is lack of size at the forward positions. Their tall guys are thin, they're stout guys are short. They really don't have anyone that can physically match-up with McDaniels, Randle and Naz.

Debby is just going to continue to get better. That’s the scary part. But for now, last night the Spurs looked like a good up and coming team whose time maybe hasn’t come yet. While the Wolves exuded ā€˜been there done that’ playoff confidence.

Of course if the Spurs make that last shot it’s a very different narrative today. Yeesh.

Finch says that video shows at least four of Wemby's blocks clearly should have been called goal tending and a couple more were less obvious, but could have been called. He was ticked off as 8 points is huge in a playoff game.
