Love the Darling story.
Fell for him during the Road To The Outdoor Game series, seems like one hell of a great guy.
Quenneville just killed during that series too.
I thought I had a potty mouth.

Oh, yeah. He can get salty. I had a chance to meet him at a fan appreciation event with my oldest son. It seemed that if he smiled his face would shatter. Pretty good guy by appearances and a very good coach.

It looks like Darling is much more sure of himself in goal than Crawford. He makes the easy saves look easy, which is something Crawford has not done at all in his last two starts.

Hawks are being outplayed, but they are tied up right now. 1-1. Darling got the start over Crawford, and he's made a couple of big saves already.

Caps and Isles are playing an intense 1-1 OT game. Wide open gameplay both ways. SWEET behind-the back tip by Ovechkin for the Caps goal. Amazing play by an amazing player.

Hawks win, thanks to three overtimes and 50 stops from a rookie goaltender. There are a lot of bleary eyes at work this a.m.

Fought to stay awake through that whole thing, even KNOWING the hated Hawks would win.
Seriously, there is a maybe 2 or 3 percent chance they will lose a home overtime playoff game.
It simply won't happen to them, any bad luck, any bad hops, anything bad at all.
They're very talented and very motivated.
Add that, to the greatest puck luck in history, and it's a pretty unbeatable combination.
The Preds busted their ass from start to finish, and yet were doomed, the entire night. That's what I saw.

I thought they owned the Hawks in the first period, but the defense and goaltending kept getting better for the Hawks as the game went on. They are a really good team, but I think a couple of teams can beat them. I won't say who, though.

Great fight by Ottawa to finally get a wn.
Rangers having a hard time seperating from the Pens
Glad to see the Jets eliminated, but respect what they accomplished.
Ducks will now sit around for a week.

Saw a stat last night where Malkin has zero shots in simething like 180 minutes.
That's one of the most incredibly unbelievable stats I've ever heard.
There's simply no excuse for that, or explanation. It's unfathomable.
Some guys just let expectation and pressure eat them up.

That's the Preds from early in the year.
Going back to Cheecago still having to win tho.
The Caps finally put together 60 minutes.
And the Red Wings will look back on the final 5 minutes tonight and cry when this series is over.
Had it in the bag, and gave it away.

This has been a great first round of the playoffs so far. Almost every game has been well contested, a lot of overtimes and come from behind wins.

Goddamit! 1-0, preds. The defense looks terrible! Turnovers in their own zone, not moving the puck forward, etc. they better wake up or this series is going to be tied.

Pfffft, you'll toy with them all night, and a four-time-deflected game-winner will finish the Preds off.
You know it.
You don't have to act like you don't.

(thanks for being a good sport joe ... this is the way my oldest son and I go back and forth on his beloved Hawks ... its hard for me to shut it off)

Hey, SoMn, this is why I love this board. Everyone is strong in their opinions, but also understand that it is just sports. Not life threatening stuff. I'll be here as long as our teams are in the playoffs, so take your shots accordingly!

Sharp with a goal. Now, if he can just keep his hands off his teammate's wives and girlfriends....
