Is Michael a senior this coming year?

I hope so

Has contributed very little for all the playing time given.

Has there been a scoreboard safety issue in Duke that I'm unaware of?
Just wondering.

No, just a lot of wishful thinking on my part.

Love it.

(but something I'd get hashed over for, if I said it)

Isaiah Ihnen Commits to Gophers

247 just ranked him the #89 prospect in the 2019 class

Marcus R. Fuller

Future Gopher Isaiah Ihnen's favorite player is Kevin Durant. German KD maybe;) He's 6-9 with a 7-4 wingspan. Hear he has 3-point range but can put ball on floor. Needs to add strength and weight (190lbs). But athleticism + skill at his length=big upside.

Richard Pitino on 6-9 incoming German recruit @ihnen_isaiah: "He's extremely versatile on the court and can play multiple positions ... Potential is off the charts. We expect Isaiah to come in and make a great impact on and off the court right when he steps on campus." #Gophers

#Gophers newest hoops recruit Isaiah Ihnen signed his letter of intent Wednesday back home in Germany. He’s a four-star and top 100 prospect by 247Sports. Richard Pitino’s 2019 class is No. 36 nationally and No. 5 in the Big Ten by @247Sports @GopherMBB @ihnen_isaiah

The Gophers got a commitment from 6'9" graduate transfer Alihan Demir of Turkey by way of Drexel University. He is the early favorite to be the starting PF.

Well hopefully he's good, because he has big shoes to fill.

IMO it's probably 50-50 that he gets drafted. I don't think coming back for another year was going to improve his chances.

Coffey bails

Bails on us or on the draft?

Crap. Bails on us. He won't be drafted.

I think he bailed on the Gophers because he realized his stock isn't going to rise even if he has a great senior year. With Carr coming in, Coffey won't be able to show his ability to run the point much this coming season. He was able to showcase his PG skills (or work-in-progress skills) more this past season.

There is a lot of talent coming in....wrong time for him to leave even if he isn't playing point. Not sure if he can play point in the NBA but maybe he might be worth a low 2nd rounder by the yocal team?

I wouldn't say it's the wrong time for him to leave. He turns 22 in a couple of weeks. I don't see him improving his stock, by staying for another year. NBA teams aren't really big on drafting 23 year olds.

Agreed. It's time for him to start earning money, even if it's in Europe.

Yep. He will be either a second round pick or a UDFA whether he leaves this year or next. The sooner he gets to the development league or Europe the sooner he has a chance to crack the NBA at some point.
