It really is too bad, because this team could look something like this:

Backcourt: Joseph/Cobbs/Hollins/Hollins/Welch
Frontcourt: mbakwe/White/Williams/Sampson/Iverson/Elliason/Walker

That's just absurd. But no sense looking back. What's done is done, and Tubby needs to figure out a way to turn this group into a winner.

Apparently, he thinks the way to win is to call Sampson out in the press.

Not that he's wrong, but really, Tubby? After 3.5 years of watching the guy not be aggressive, NOW you're going to tell the media he needs to get to the rim? What a joke.

He should just practice with the team and call this a redshirt year.

They'll still win most of the rest of their non-conference games (the next two are the toughest, so keep some perspective) and mostly beat (maybe a road loss or something) Penn State, Iowa, Nebraska, and Indiana. Who knows.

It's not working out for us.

Plus Indiana, who I'm still not completely sold on, is far better than anyone thought.

Zoilo is the over-the-top Twins defender. Loves Gardy. Loves the Pohlads. Loves everything about the way the Twins operate. He'll post things like:

Span
Carroll
Mauer
Morneau
Willingham
Valencia
Casilla/Nishi
Revere

Pavano
Liriano
Blackburn
Marquis
Baker

That's an awesome lineup and rotation. Good job Terry Ryan! Can't wait for next season.

Has to be more than a cooincidence, right?

I'm HORRIBLE with names. Probably high-functioning autistic or something. I can watch a tv series or read a book and not be able to name all the main characters.

Tubby on some ESPN dude's list of coaches who are (or should be) on the hot seat.

On a related note, thank god that Maturi failed in hiring a "Tubby-level" coach for the football team...

I was watching the Wild game but turned it over to the Gophers at the end of the second period. Just in time to see the last 50 seconds of the game and a few heart attack moments. Phew - pulled it out. The guys on Radio 1500 predicted a blowout by Indiana.

The offensive rebounds were big for the Gophers, especially late. Perimeter defense wasn't awful for a change.
It helped that Watford had a horrible game.

Did Indiana play a lot of man-man defense? I watched a bit and saw that.

Any team that plays the Gophs man is nuts. They're such a bad zone offense team.

The gophers played really good defense and seemed focused...

Ralph looked pissy all game and played decent.
