If I were in Vegas I would bet a crap load of money on the Gophers.

I honestly believe the Gophers will not only cover, not only win, but blow Iowa out. I never make homer predictions. In fact often just the opposite. So that's not what this is about. It's just my belief having watched them progress over the last few games last year and carried over this year, combined with Iowa's inconsistent play. And just many elements of the matchup that I believe favor the Gophers.

Gophers by at least two TD's, this will be a statement game.

Okay, I'm convinced. I have elevated that game to my "lock of the day".

Of course I will either be blaming you or thanking you later.

Bet the house.

I haven't been wrong since last Sunday when I thought the 49ers would blow out the Vikings.

I've been needling my Iowa boys about Ferentz the last few weeks.  Really hope this gives me more ammo.  Nearly $25 million owed to him through 2020!

Dumbest special teams play I've ever seen. What was he trying to accomplish blocking 1 of 6 Iowa players surrounding the ball?

Lucky.

That seems to be a call that could easily be blown.

They got a massive break there. Should have been an Iowa TD.

Seriously. Either fair catch the ball or run away from it.

To say I'm not sold on Shortell would be an understatement. He's had so much time today, but has made almost exclusively bad throws. He missed an easy TD pass.

Shortell is a pretty good backup and a pretty bad starter. I think the D is already tiring out.

Horrible decision to take that one out. Defense was almost on top of him before he left the EZ.

Looks like blame. Barely a quarter in and this one is over.

Still love the helmets...

Shortell is just not very good. And it doesn't help that we don't have many receivers who can go up and make plays.

These wide receivers are pathetic. They win no contested battles for balls, they're largely unathletic, and they drop the easy ones. An area of recruiting that HAS to improve.

Just a shitty day all around. D sucked, ST's sucked, Dline got dominated all game and Shortell sucked. WTF do they have designed running plays for him?

Horrible game plan on both sides of the ball.
