A very nice defensive effort Saturday against a pretty decent offense.
Agree Ed, Brooks would be my choice too.
We are running back U, not sure why, but we have been, thank God.
Been said before, but I love how our D likes to light people up, even when constantly threatened by penalty, they LIKE to hit.
And for the hundredth time .... Leidner is bad. He's worse than he's ever been. Its mind-boggling.

Ed, I completely agree about the B10 being awful. But here's the strange thing.... they have 4 of the top 7 ranked teams in the nation. I can't understand it.

Pretty easy...2 of the top 5 coaches in the nation...when Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Michigan don't go thru everyone in the conference like swiss cheese it makes the whole conference look good.

This times 1000. He is absolutely brutal. I'm not kidding when I say it. He's the worst constant starter of my lifetime of Gopher football. Even Mason was making fun of him on the broadcast and he loves EVERYONE.

ML literally missed a WR 5 yards down the field by about 8 yards.

+1
I saw the 10 yard pass (not even an out) that he missed by 3-4 yards and the receiver was open by 3 yards w/o any pressure.....a junior high kid can make that pass.

He has absolutely no touch - and even less accuracy. 34 TDs in 45 career games.

2 TD passes in 7 conference games so far this year. That includes a 5 game streak with 0.

He's so bad, I'd love to have Asad Abdul-Khaliq or Bryan Cupito instead...

Hell, I'd rather have Phillip Nelson back.

I don't understand why that kid that came back from Allen Tx isn't getting touches. He played under more pressure and larger crowds than he'll see at TCF.

Because they aren't going to burn a year of his eligibility.

But they're willing to burn 3 years of the entire teams

Exactly. The stars were alligned this season with a cupcake schedule.

If we had an accurate qb we could shred everyone on our schedule.

Leidner is brutally bad.

Yup Bill, and my dumbass got caught in to the hype of the offseason. I actually believed he had gotten better based on the reports. I knew he wasn't going to light it up but he didn't need to with this schedule.

Adam Weber level QB play, and we'd be undefeated.

Mark Carlson or Mike Hohensee, we'd win the league.
Rickey Foggie, we'd contend for the national title.

So true. Our D is pretty good/excellent. Our running game is very good. Our special teams (except P) are very good.

One thing holding us down.....

Hmmmm.
Weird, too, because he's a first-rounder.

My 17 year old daughter and a few of her friends will be attending the game tomorrow at Camp Randall.

I couldn't talk her into wearing maroon though. I guess being born and raised in Wisc she has become a Badger fan.

At least both of my daughters are Viking fans. Might be grounds for eviction if they weren't

Being a teenager she could also be a frontrunner. The Badgers have been doing better than the Gophers in the years that she has been paying attention. If things flip, she may flip too. Young and impressionable.

Sitting here thinking...it could be much worse. We've been too hard on the Gophers football program this year and most other years. We are pretty consistently better than Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Maryland and Rutgers. We're about even with Northwestern and Iowa...maybe JUST a bit behind Iowa these last few years...but similar success/failures.

Looking forward to beating Wisconsin today.

Leidner is looking like a stud on the opening drive.

3rd and goal QB draw from the 6 yard line? Come on! That's a give-up play if I've ever seen one.

3-0 Gophers.

Wolitarsky cost us 4 pts. Nice opening drive, but disappointing to settle for 3. I hope it won't come back to haunt us, but I know better.

Another drop. When he's passing well we need to catch 'em.
