Fresno putting it to the Huskers at half.
Nebraska fitting nicely into the Big Ten if this keeps up.
Good to see Iowa State stop the Hawkeyes today. Love those in-state battles.

Nice ammo to tweak my Iowa buddies with after a pathetic weekend of Minnesota football...

Now we have 2 teams leaving Big East for the ACC. Will this take away automatic BCS bid? Then we have Texas, Texas Tech, Okla, Okla St possibly leaving Big 12 for PAC 12. Will the Big 10 pick up a couple more from that conference like Iowa St & Missouri?

So who are the new schools coming into the Big 10? Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse and...??? Decent additions for hoops, but only makes the conference weaker for football.

What happened to Syracuse? I swear I heard they were coming to the Big 10. It was Syracuse and Rutgers. Now suddenly Maryland has replaced Syracuse? When did that happen?

Also, according to the logo, the conference will have 16 teams.

I never heard anything about Cuse. MD and Rut to the B10 East. We'll be in the West. It goes by timezone.

I never remember hearing anything about Syracuse either.

Starting with the 2014 season, it looks like this:

East Division
---------------
Indiana
Maryland
Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Penn State
Rutgers

West Division
----------------
Illinois
Iowa
Minnesota
Nebraska
Northwestern
Purdue
Wisconsin

With Minnesota and Michigan stinking a few days ago, the Big Ten had a good day today. Even in losing efforts, Wis and Iowa were pretty competitive as underdogs.

Love the quote on how they're an elite program now.

Only if they can keep it going. Too easy to have a great year, followed by OK years. Or worse.

Lots of confliction on this one.
I've known since Day One they were the B10s best team.
Made some easy money off some THEE OSU fans on that one.
Was pulling for Stanford yesterday and still think they were better, but that's the way it goes.
But ... then again...not sure I've ever been more impressed with a coaching staff than I am with D'Antoni's.
The adjustments they make in-game and at half, are usually amazingly effective.
They did it again yesterday.
Very innovative and aggressive. They've pulled off some awesome trickeration thru the years, on top of building a solid roster of athletes.

Thoroughly enjoyed Oklahoma dismantling Alabama.

Especially after I saw a SI.com story in the afternoon describing the upcoming game as a mismatch.

Sure was.

Cross that Alabama QB off the Vikes list. Unless you're only doing so for the eye candy that accompanies him.

Pretty unimpressive performance from AJ last night, that's for sure.

Master T is pushing Mettenburger (sp?) if the Vikes go for a 2nd-4th round guy.

Wore Sooner garb all my life.
Always have been my second-favorite college FB choice team.
That was extremely enjoyable to see, the way they hammered the greatest program ever constructed.

Lose the head coach and 12 starters and they reload.

Many said it was an upset by the Bison.

I disagree.

While NDSU doesn't have the stadium capacity, they definitely have a program that could move from FCS to FBS. And they have a sufficient population base in the FM area to support an FBS team.

Still would love to see how their program would fare in the Big 10. They would not be bottom dwellers.

Ten thumbs up to Cliff Kingsbury. (Apparently I'm not the only Bielema ball buster)

Couple thumbs down to the Notre Dame kid who just haddddd to leap to celebrate that TD.
Like Bud Grant said .... Act like ya been there. Zero sympathy.

Safe to say, he has answered the call rather well.

He truly looks like he could play in the NFL right now. Unfortunately, he's two years away from that.

That LSU program keeps turning out some great, athletic NFL players.

Fournette should get plenty of rest this season (and next) with that stable of great RB's behind him.

He'll come into the league without a lot of miles on him.
