6 of 7 in any league, at any level, is pretty damn amazing.
Really respect what they do there in BizonTown.

Nice to see Chip Kelly step in and re-establish that winning tradition at UCLA

Not a surprise. I keep seeing stories ripping on USC. Has not been a power for so long now.

Used to love them with Sam Cunningham, Charlie White, etc

Still the best performance I've seen from Iowa all year. Big 10 just keeps getting tougher each year.

The Associated Press analyzed attendance numbers for 33 second- and third-tier Bowl Subdivision bowl games this season. The analysis did not include the so-called New Year's Six bowls because year-to-year comparisons are difficult since those games are part of the College Football Playoff semifinals rotation. Among the findings:
— 23 of the 33 games were played at venues where the announced attendance was less than 75% of capacity. Of those 23, eight were under 50%.
— Six bowl games this season had their smallest crowds on record: New Mexico, Cure, Camellia, Pinstripe, First Responder and Famous Idaho Potato.
— Average announced attendance was 34,595, 1 percent higher than 34,215 last season (the 2018-19 average was based on 32 games because the First Responder Bowl was canceled because of weather). The increase can be attributed to the Gator Bowl's announced crowd of 38,206 for Texas A&M-North Carolina State in 2018 growing to 61,789 for Tennessee-Indiana.
— Announced attendance figures sometimes differed widely from actual attendance. For example, the Las Vegas Bowl had an announced attendance of 34,197, but the scanned ticket count provided to the AP by the stadium owner, UNLV, was 16,568. The Birmingham Bowl announced 27,193 while actual attendance was 9,679. The New Mexico Bowl announced a crowd of 18,823; a San Diego Union-Tribune reporter at the game estimated actual attendance at 6,000.
— Of the 33 bowls, 26 existed in the 2013 season, the year before the CFP. Eleven of those 26 had attendance declines of more than 10% in the 2014 season. In the last six years, five of those 26 bowls have not matched the attendance recorded in 2013; eight others have hit their 2013 figure only once.
— Proximity can help: The Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa featured nearby UCF and a record announced crowd of 28,987 showed up. The Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit set a record of 34,765 with Eastern Michigan playing. The Texas Bowl in Houston drew 68,415 — 16,000 more than last year — because Texas A&M was there and played former Big 12 rival Oklahoma State.
— New Year's Six games that didn't host CFP semifinals, and were not included in the AP's analysis, took a hit this year. TV viewership for all four was down. The Cotton Bowl between Penn State and Memphis drew 54,828, the smallest crowd since 1948. The Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Baylor had 55,211, the third time since 2013 the crowd has not reached 60,000.

What's the solution?

I think they should go back to no playoff system at all. The controversies "who is the champion?" in the 80s and early 90s was always something I enjoyed following. But no, everyone needed to have a playoff. And now look where we are. Saw this coming from a million miles away.

Amazing kid/athlete
Saw flashes, but you never knew if it was just lack of competition
He is a driven kid. Couple good athletes for parents. Dad was an outstanding athlete at SMSU back in our day.
Has a younger brother in HS with just about as much potential, but he will probably choose basketball.
For as much as I don't like the FB program here, they've turned out maybe almost a dozen almost-or-for-sure D1ers the past 5-6 years.
Gimmestad was the first, an anchor of the OL for the Bison when the dynasty started. Then Andries/Winkelman/Lance etc.
They've got a thing going. Crazy they haven't sniffed a state championship tho with all that talent.
But good for the kids, for sure.
