I used to post on Times4 as I have stated in here before...and I still do on the Brewers, Bucks and Badger threads, but to even joke around with some of these rubes is off limits.  They are just mean people who believe they are a superior people because they are Packer fans.  I've supported some of the topics that have been brought up in their Packer threads and still get lambasted because I am a "Queens" fan as they like to put it.  Packer fans need to remember the 70's and 80's when their team sucked sweaty donkey balls for 20 years.  Then they all need to bow down and glorify Reggie White because HE put the Packers back on the map.....what a bunch of anal cavities!

Between that and another site I used to post on (one that claimed to be an "NFC North" forum, but where fans of any team but Green Bay were treated like garbage), I've come to the conclusion that Packer Nation is pretty much the Westboro Baptist Church of NFL fan bases.

Although there might be a little more wiggle room for independent thought at Westboro.

I think I have a good response to those Packer fans that like to brag to Vikings' fans about all 'their' trophies.

'How many SBs have the Vikings won ?'

Answer: The Vikings never played the Packers in the Super Bowl.

Then it can be pointed out that Denver lost 4 Super Bowls until they were given an easy team to beat. Or, the Vikings have met the Packers the just once in the playoffs, and who won THAT game ? (might not be able to use that one in a few weeks, we'll see)

So you could say, the Packers won 4 SBs because they never faced the Vikes in the playoffs any of those years. One year the Packers won the SB, the Vikes beat them in regular season, and that might be true for one of the 1st 2, haven't looked it up.

I got to thinking about that Packer fan with the venom up his snout. He's the perfect proof that there is no such thing as karma. If there was karma, that jerk's team would never have won the Superbowl the year after we lost the NFCCG. If there was karma he'd be cheering for a team that had eight straight years of 2-14 seasons. The fact that someone can be filled with such loathing directed at fans of another team and still get to cherish a Superbowl win is so ridiculously unfair that I think the football gods owe us an explanation.

The Packers won, what, 2 SB's, and NFL-AFL championship, and 10 NFL championships?

So really, they only won 2 SB's.

Four

The first two, one with Favre and one with Aaron "discount double check" Rodgers.

I like Packer games that end with Aaron Rodgers NOT doing that creepy pelvic thrust move. Let's have that happen again next week.

He's just doing the time warp, Lynn. Trying to hearken back to the days of Starr.

He skips the jump to the left and the step to the right. In other words, Hey Rodgers!! You're doing it wrong!!!

Because Ponder didn't play in the playoff game, it may appear this is more difference between the Vikes and Packer than what is really there. That's o.k., because I hope it means the Vikes are more aggressive towards getting WRs and filling their other needs.

I would like to see the Packers get dismantled, and the best move the Vikes can do towards that is signing Greg Jennings.

Then, hopefully the Bears take the Packer OC as HC, and some team like Carolina signs Jermichael Finley.

Gotta now hope the Packers don't win the SB this year, so one can continue to say the Packers have never won a SB in a year they played the Vikes in the playoffs.

Hopefully the Vikes softened up the Packers and made a SB run not work out by making them play an extra game, and giving them an extra road game.

The Vikings started the decline of the Packers, making them play an extra game, and making them play on the road this week. The beginning of the end for the Packers was a Blair Walsh FG.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad the Packers lost !!!

Pretty amazing Frisco won the game, considering the Packers had the refs the entire 1st half, and even got their last TD on an obvious pushoff by Jordy Nelson that somehow drew a PI call on the 49er. And on the play after that, where Rodgers threw the TD to Jennings, Newberry held and then drove Aldon to the ground.

The Packers were SO full of themselves, played like thugs, got away with all kinds of jawing and contact after the play. There were quite a few calls that seemed just wrong, and Harbaugh was thankfully letting them know about it. I was surprised Tramon Williams was flagged for his obvious hold when he was beaten deep in the 3rd quarter. The Packers had a SB offense this year, but NOT a SB defense.

This game made me wonder if the Vikes had stuck to the run, and Peterson went wild, and I do think Webb can run quite well, that if they stuck with it, Webb may have gotten some confidence in his throwing and it might have been a completely different game.

ONE play in this game has me questioning whether or not Greg Jennings is really a good move for the Vikings.

Jennings got away with a REALLY obvious headbutt early in the game, he would NEVER get away with something like that as a Viking. There is a strong bias for the Packers with officials for some reason. They also got away with extra hits and pushing when they knew the game was lost. Those kind of things almost always draw a flag from the refs, but not for the Packers.

Jennings is probably still a good move for the Vikes as it weakens the Pack, and Jennings has some strong skills. He really came back well after his injury, has GREAT quickness (almost as quick as Harvin, whom I think is the quickest WR in the NFL), great hands, great after the catch. Jennings also probably learned A LOT of Donald Driver, how to really work hard and be a good teammate. Jennings can bring good, solid leadership to the Vikings. But the headbutt he got away with, DID bother me.

Makes me feel GREAT !!!

The Vikes kill their mojo. I hope the Vikes finish AHEAD of the Pack next year. I want to see the Vikes getting the bye, and the Packers not even in the playoffs.

I can certainly agree with your hopes for next year. And then I also want the Packers to be irrelevant for the next decade.

No, you're right. For the rest of time. They've had WAY more than their share of success over there. I'd love to not get smack talk (or the passive aggressive equivalent) from the in-laws anymore.

And for the fans at Lambeau that were complete asses when I was there - they never deserved the successes they've had in the first place.

I didn't want to clog up the FA thread with Packer talk.

This offseason could NOT have gone any better for someone that wants the Packers to go backwards.

The Packers lost Jennings, and with the money they have from not signing Woodson or Jennings, they probably use it on their cancer TE.

The Packers wanted to get a good RB in FA. IMHO, there were 4 of them, one of which the Packers were targeting: RB Stephen Jackson. I think Bush and Mendenhall also would have help them, but they signed elsewhere. I'm not going to mention the 4th, hoping someone else signs him as well.

The offseason was going great until the Packers got Eddie Lacy. I fear that he is a great signing. The Packers needed a good RB as much as the Vikes need a couple of good WRs. McCarthy has been speaking very highly of an undrafted RB, Angelo Pease.

Another disturbing element:

McCarthy followed through with a plan he contemplated since the end of last season. Pro Bowl right guard Josh Sitton and right tackle Bryan Bulaga were moved to the corresponding spots on the left side, T.J. Lang was bumped from left guard to right guard, and an open audition is on at right tackle, which will include displaced starting left tackle Marshall Newhouse.

"Frankly, we felt that Bryan Bulaga and Josh Sitton were our two most accomplished offensive linemen," McCarthy said. "And, just going back to old-school theory of how you build a structure of your offensive line, we wanted to put those two guys on the left side.

"We feel Bryan and Josh will be a solid, very good left side. Those two guys have a history (of playing on the same side) together - that was part of (the reason for the switch)."

This is probably a good move on their part, Newhouse was really a nice weakness at LT, he might be fine or even GOOD at RT. Let's hope this doesn't pan out for them.

Datone Jones is having an easy time picking up the Packers' system, it's essentially the same one he had in college, with a lot of the same terminology. He also has his locker next to Clay Matthew's:

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Matthews' locker is right next to mine. I'm going to talk to him a lot, pick his brain." - Defensive end Datone Jones, the team's first-round draft pick this year, on connecting from the outset with a veteran player such as defensive standout Clay Matthews.
Matthews IS quite knowledgeable, and he's learned a lot from Kevin Greene.

Green Bay fans still butthurt over a replacement official making the correct call in Seattle last year.

They had plenty of calls go their way in that game...but the one at the end that went the wrong way...that's the one they complain about.
