Well my hope came true. Elliott ran all over Green Bay and Dak looked like a former MVP and Aaron Rodgers looked like a nervous rookie playing at Lambeau for the first time. Pretty sure they are not first in rush defense now!

For the record I put a 5 on GB in my picks pool and acted like them playing terrible really bothered me with my Cutie Packer Wife. I come here to confess the joy of watching Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy appear to screw up everything they touch, as if a spell had been cast on them.

Tim - you and I are practically related now.

I have also, for years, pretended to be surprised and shocked the handful of times the Packers have lost in front of my husband, but then I go in the other room and dance a tiny little jig. I wouldn't do that, of course, if the tables had been turned and the Vikings had been dominating the Packers for the past decade, but given the circumstances as they REALLY are - that's how it works in this household.

It is starting to feel (knock on wood) that the tables may have finally turned (knock really hard on wood). In fact, this weekend, both his college team and his pro team lost and both of mine won. I think this truly might be the first time since I've known him that that happened. It's ALWAYS been the other way around.

Knock on wood.

Packers losing is the kind of good thing that should continue for the rest of the season.

They are hitting the panic button in Green Bay. Aaron's gone Hollywood, maybe they should fire McCarthy, bench Rodgers, etc. I love it!!

Thanks Lynn, I know that dance! and most importantly I know that feeling of the tide turning. It has been since 1997 into 1998 since I last felt we were long term better.

Dave my favorite was the radio post game show where the guy suggested benching Rodgers for Hudley in second half to just send a message to Rodgers. The Farve curse stuff is great too!

I have decided for the sake of everyone I will not predict the Bears upset on my picks pool. Some may say hedging bets, I feel like it is better Karma to put an 8 on the Packers and than watch the Bears destroy my pick than it is to get cute and put a 3 on the Bears. I don't like this game because while I think the Bears can pass all day on the Packers, I actually believe the Packers can pass all day on the Bears. It is in Lambeau. I have seriously just talked myself into the Bears again. I just think the Packers are a complete mess and the Bears will win. That's it I am a liar I am indeed going to put a 3 or 2 or 1 on the Bears, or will I?....Read in your best Wallace Shawn voice.

The Packers are a mess. But the Bears are messier.

Packers getting away with a lot of holding on their OL, and Packer defenders are getting away with quite a few shots to the face on ball carriers in the 1st half.

I guess that is nothing new.

The refs helped me with the Patriots, favored TB quite a bit, but the Raiders overcame it.

The Packers actually looked good at times yesterday, but as Marty pointed out got away with holding quite a bit. Aikman was pretty funny on one of the scoring plays he saw an egregious hold and seemed truly shocked that it wasn't called. Like he has never covered a Packer game.

Managed to watch the game at my new house while my Packer Cutie watched at the Condo. Was able to celebrate openly!

Thought for sure they'd pull it off with a last second FG
Rodgers just has minutes to throw sometimes
That OLine isn't THAT good.
And the Pack had a new DB yesterday who basically covered every play like he was a loose dryer sheet.
The night our DB tried that, he was called out all night by refs and media and fans.
That one fool of theirs simply said flat out he was going to hold, Chuck, grab and tackle on every play.
And the refs and announcers simply acted like it wasn't happening.

Actually was kinda worried about the Pack too Tim,
Just not sure if the Falcons are good or not.
Can't really tell.
Because as you say, GB looked pretty good against them. Even with many players out.

I think the Falcons Defense is still full of holes but how much is that the Packers offense when Rodgers is on? Combined with Offensive line getting a lot of manhandling leeway?

The Falcons offense is powerful yet that seemed like a fantastic defensive performance in spite of giving up 33 points. The Packer secondary seemed to improve and shut down Jones. #36 who was laughable against Dallas looked good until he pulled a hamstring late.

I feel like we could run away with the NFC if not for two things; 1. our offensive line and 2. the Dallas Cowboys offensive line.

Way to blame everybody but yourself after the Colts loss Aaron Rodgers! It felt like my birthday when he went there. Guy is so unlikeable, arrogant and not self aware. He was the guy earlier in the year that seemed uninterested now he feels like he put forth more effort than his teammates, he has the right to call out what he doesn't know in public. What a weasel.

They are going to get their butts kicked in Tennessee this week. I cannot wait for the Blame Conference that will follow that.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2676645-can-aaron-rodgers-be-the-type-of-leader-the-packers-need

Add this to Gunslinger material linked to Farve and you seem just have more layers to a myopic non likeable teammate with no real leadership aptitude, in spite of his ability. He basically can only lead by performance. Not much margin for error in a team sport.

Then there's Finley, assuring Rodgers is no leader.

"In my opinion, he's a different guy," Finley said. "I didn't really know how he showed his leadership. He wasn't a vocal guy. He really wasn't a hands-on guy. To tell you the truth, it was all about his game and his stats in my opinion. … He was a guy that kept it all in. He kept grudges close to his chest. If you did something, he never really let it go. He always kept it close to his heart.

"I just don't think he was a natural-born leader. He wasn't put on Earth to lead."

The Packers better hope he was.

He's the mercurial master, the Obi-Wan Kenobi of this team inching toward collapse.

Flash from past to refresh memory of Jermichael Finley and what he really thought of Aaron Rodgers.

Good stuff Tim.

Our current losing streak has taken all the fun out of watching the Packer melt down.
