Wow - that's ambitious Ian. I have enough trouble thinking about this week's pick.

That's how you have to do it. Know who you are using so you don't get caught in a trap later. People will need Green Bay and Detroit later. The schedule is ruthless.

I'm playing King of the Mountain on rtsports. Com and you have to pick winners through the Super Bowl. Talk about brutal. But if you win, it's 25k..

I thought this was a great week to use Detroit. I think due to the way they play they are susceptible to getting beat by just about anybody. So use them for this great matchup and be done with them. I thought Houston was the most sure thing, but I wanted to save them for later.

Its a great week to use Detroit. But, the one thing to consider is if you burn them here, the NFL schedule is not favorable and you will most definitely want to use them for another week later in the season (for strategy purposes, I wont mention where). If theyre unavailable to you, you will have a major problem.

Ive found the key to Week 1 is just to get through it, and ideally, do so in a manner where you can burn a pick using a lesser team. So many people bet the sure thing in Week 1, which is certainly acceptable, but you burn the sure thing team immediately.

Pick New England/Houston/Detroit/Philadelphia/Chicago if you must, but have a plan to avoid having to pick a tough game in lieu of a gimme later on in the season.

if the debbie downers have anything to say about it , the Vikings next opponent is a gimme, every week.. fortuantely, few of them are in our picks pools, which shows how much they can back up thier blustery gloom and doom.

ESPN power Rankings announced. Detroit is 12th. If they have it right no big deal to save Detroit for later. Use them on this great matchup.

I always pick the most sure thing or the opponent of the obvious worst team. That Detroit game was no sure thing. Every time I try to get crafty early I go home early. As it is the next time I see week 8 will be the first time. In fact the next time I see week 4 will be my second best effort ever.

Glad I picked Detroit for two reasons. They won and they proved they can get beat on any week.

No eliminations this (the first) week...that a first?

There would have been 5 if the Vikings had lost. Kudos to those that picked them.

I was watching the scrolling scores while the Vikes played and it sure looked like a bunch of us were going down with the Detroit Lions. But then they pulled it out and we were all safe. Now I don't have to root for the Lions ever again this season.

I may root for the Lions when they play the Packers though.

This week want to take a chance on Vikings or Redskins. Which one though. Won't have many if any better opportunities to use these teams.

Glad I bailed out on the Redskins and Vikings . I just thought Cinci was a better lock and still a mediocre team I probably wouldn't want to use again.

Funny what a difference a week makes. Baltimore, New England, Washington, Dallas all lose. I got about half the game right in the picks pool. Falling way behind in that.
