Matt's a good dude. His needy schtik wears a little thin, but it's just a schtik. We central MN dems need to stick together, there aren't many of us around.

He's totally a good dude.

He's also super needy.

Not mutually exclusive.

Let me know if they give you any trouble up there at Harpo's, and I'll.....drive by real fast and you can jump on the hood.

Tough to overcome the Sterns county syndrome?

Stearns

If they can't spell it, I'm not going to worry about it either.

I'm actually in Morrison, which is worse.

Love the tight formation one-man route to Diggs.

After dropping the one, he made a smart play running and staying inbounds and protecting the ball.

Irv Smith graduated college today. He's going to be a very big asset for us!

Stefanski also had a great day.

Great game against the kitties. Next week should be a cake walk on short rest at home against a struggling team. KC shouldn't be that bad with no Mahomes, likely. Next big test is Dallas in Dallas, in prime time.

The helmet to helmet one?

That what no Sendejo job. He didn't target with his helmet. His forearms were up and out from his body to make the hit. The helmet contact looked unintentional to me. The competition committee clarified the rule so that inadvertent or unintentional contact is not supposed to be a penalty. The announcer's take was that Barr should have pulled up. He didn't mention the helmet.

Every year one or two plays convince me we are or are not improving.

THAT call made me feel like for the first time ever, we have an OC who understands modern football.
THATS how you run the clock out.
Three straight Zimmer-headed runs there and we punt the ball back to the Lions and they win.

No one will convince me otherwise.
Having an OC who gets it is a wonderful feeling.

NOT when they know you will.

Thielen hurt---no problem lets throw to Bisi, Irv, and Rudolph.

I remember a few of us getting ripped on the Vikes thread for suggesting that Cousins only throwing 10 passes in game 1 was not a good strategy. My opinion will always be when you have your foot on the other teams throat, you apply pressure and crush it. After the Bears game, it seems like Zim has backed off on his demands for a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. It appears Stefanski has the autonomy to do outrageous things like throw on first down and throw the football when you have the lead.

It sure opens up the running game (Passing on first down)....The Lions came in trying to stop Cook because they thought they could control our air game.....third team to make that mistake in a row.

I also have renewed hope because it sounds like we had OL guys getting after it on the games last couple plays
Pissed at the Lions and letting them have it
That's a mentality your OL has to have.
They weren't happy they were still calling TO's and still firing out at our QB.
They all talked after, about not letting that shit stand. Your lines have to be some bad MFers, or you aren't going anywhere.
Usually starts at their position coach. It seems to be improving every week.

They're still always going to call it when it's against a QB. Intentional or not.

And with 11 rushing TDs, 2 more than all last year, it looks good out there.

I was curious about Zim's feelings about our offense (you know, with so much passing success) and was glad to hear at the press conf. a question of whether or not this was the balance he was talking about last year. He said, "Yes." I'm not sure I believe that totally after the way he communicated his stance to us last year or was not completely understanding what it was he was trying to communicate.
