Not that I miss him, but Danny Santana is off to a nice start in Texas.

Got a little dusty in the basement the other night when my wife closed up our last MN-themed jersey shadow box
My Dozier jersey, but with my families Jimmie Hall bat-day bat, Harmons collector coin, a 1960's Twins bobblehead, and Harmons plastic action figurine from the 70's.

One of my All time favorites as a younger Twins fan

Happy 67th Birthday to former #MNTwins OF Disco Dan Ford. Drafted by the A's, Ford came to the #MNTwins in a trade after the 1974 season. From 1975-1978, he played in 570 games and hit .272/.331/.435 (.766) with 106 doubles and 57 HRs. Traded to the Angels after the 1978 season.

Why did she close it up?
I'll never forget Hall's 33 home runs. Never understood why he won't have anything to do with the Twins?

Because she is sick of the sports decorations and she's the boss.

Angels pitcher Alex Meyer has retired. Last pitched in the majors in 2017, and dealt with numerous shoulder ailments since.

Was he a TR or Billy Smith acquisition? Well, I guess it doesn't matter. Just another failed pitching prospect.

TR traded Span straight up for him.

I think shot themselves in the foot yet again would be the more appropriate metaphor.

Check out Wilson Ramos with an awesome job catching a foul on Strike 3 to end last night's win over the Yankees.

This is interesting.

Ramos’ juggling act ended a nine-pitch at-bat for Gardner, who fouled off three consecutive 3-2 pitches as rain began falling at Citi Field. With the potential tying run on base, Mets closer Edwin Díaz opted for a third straight fastball against Gardner, who again fouled it back -- though this time straight back, toward Ramos’ mitt.

When ball hit leather, it became possible for Ramos to turn it into a foul tip, which the MLB rulebook defines as “a batted ball that goes sharp and direct from the bat to the catcher’s hands and is legally caught.” Ramos just had to complete the catch.

“It is not a foul tip unless caught and any foul tip that is caught is a strike, and the ball is in play,” the rulebook continues. “It is not a catch if it is a rebound, unless the ball has first touched the catcher’s glove or hand.”

In other words, if the ball had ricocheted off Ramos’ chest protector into his glove, the game would not have ended.
Because it hit his glove, then his hand, then his glove once again, it became strike three once Ramos secured it. Gardner, appreciating the difficulty of the play, gave Ramos a pat on the shoulder as he turned to walk off the field.

“That was instinct,” Ramos said. “As soon as he fouled off the ball and it hit my glove, I just turned around and the ball was close to me. I was trying to catch it with my hand, my glove, and finally did it.”

Yup, I thought that was a nice touch by Gardner. Used to hate him, but now I kinda like him.
