#MNTwins have promoted RHP Nick Burdi and LHP Corey Williams to @ChattLookouts.

RHP Tim Shibuya goes up to @RocRedWings to replace Tonkin in pen.

One thing the injuries does, it gets opps to guys to advance, and they either do or go back and try again.

This year has been one of the better ones for players advancing.

Seems that way. At least something (inside the process/org) is improving.

Berrios has moved up

Buxton and Sano

the bullpen guys ahve beenmoved up and down

Duffy and Wheeler in AA/AAA

and if they sucked?
They're at least trying someone else vs going and picking up some nobody...Ok they tried 1 guy that way, but then he quit

Bingo
They've at least tried it
So many years we wondered ALL YEAR why a guy was rotting at some level.
Eventually, you have to shove them out the nest ...

Truly looking forward to him being in the lineup and leading off. It's going to happen.

Buxton sits out Monday Wings game but may play Tuesday

Baseball players never miss an opportunity to play a joke on a teammate. Ever.

Thus, on the center field wall at Frontier Field during batting practice on Monday afternoon was a lifelike mural, a "scene of the crime" re-enactment of sorts.

There was a baseball stuffed between two of the pads, meant to represent the drive hit by Kyle Roller that Byron Buxton was chasing on Sunday afternoon.

There also was Buxton's jersey, a Wings hat, his baseball pants, and his spikes, taped to the wall in roughly the same position with which the right side of his body made contact.

A matter of great concern when the collision occurred in the second inning on Sunday, the man-meets-wall misadventure was the subject of the practical jokers amongst the Rochester Red Wings.

Buxton did sit out Monday's game with what would best be described as general body soreness.

His absence was pretty much expected, since he had an ice packed wrapped tightly to his right side following Sunday's 3-2 walk-off win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

He banged into the center field wall while in pursuit of a fly ball in the second inning on Sunday. He did stay in the game -- homering in the fifth and providing the walk-off single in the 12th -- but said afterward that he was feeling it.

General body soreness was perhaps the best diagnosis the Red Wings could have hoped for, too, considering how hard he hit the wall.

A former high school football player, Buxton compared it to a hit from a linebacker, "without no pads."

But Wings manager Mike Quade expects to have his speedy center fielder back very soon, perhaps as early as Tuesday night.

"I'll bet he's not sore tomorrow," Quade said.
