Wasn't Eades drafted as somebody who was supposed to fly through the system. I thought he projected mid to back rotation guy, but was pretty polished and supposed to reach the bigs quickly.

Yes. Had some injury issues, like most of the college guys the Twins have drafted.

And hasn't panned out, like most of the college guys the Twins have drafted.

If he had been a college reliever, we could have hit the trifecta.

Joe Malone was demoted; had been highly-sought out independent league guy after last year.

Vielma, according to some, could take the job while Gordon spends his 10 years in the minors.

Alex Perez has surprised; he came up late to CR and has hit very well. Of course, he's 23, played at VA Tech, yet the Twins still didn't even start him in A ball this year

Well at least he's not a Catcher, with a name like Perez he could never Catch for the Twins.
Or be a Judge for Donald Trump.

I would guess that's correct, Kerry.

Baseball america spotlight

Fernando Romero, rhp, Twins. Romero has had a great return from Tommy John surgery. After missing all of 2015 after surgery in 2014, Romero came back in instructional league and that has helped him transition back to the mound in strong fashion. On Wednesday, Romero went a career-high seven innings on just 69 pitches, allowing just four hits for low Class A Cedar Rapids against Kane County (Diamondbacks). Romero was still touching 97 mph in his final inning. Romero also throws a downer curve and has a smooth delivery that makes it easy to replicate. He’s now 4-0, 1.17, with 21 whiffs and four walks.

Tyler Jay, lhp, Twins. The former Illinois shutdown reliever—drafted sixth overall a year ago—has made a smooth transition to the rotation. On Wednesday, Jay pitched six scoreless inning to extend his scoreless streak to 15 as high Class A Fort Myers beat Brevard County (Brewers) 1-0. Jay, just named an FSL all-star, is now 5-4, 2.18 with 59 strikeouts and 16 walks. Jay’s wipeout slider is a separating pitch for him, a hard, late-breaking pitch. He’s been compared to Cliff Lee for delivery and strong mound presence.

Sadly that doesn't make me feel better. We both know that all he needs to do is string together a couple of good outings at the right time and he could be up here.
