I think Milone is ready for the big league rotation.

He could replace Santana at any time. A Santana start has become an automatic loss. At least Milone tries and cares. Santana could not care less how he pitches or if the Twins win one of his starts.

Bullshit. You have no idea what player cares and what player doesn't.

Well I guess he just sucks then. Nothing changes in his approach. Throw pitches across the plate and let opponent's hit the ball all over the place. Keep repeating the same thing over and over with crappy results. Pitch to impact.

Sucks? I couldn't agree more with you on that one. He is absolutely putrid. He needs Neil Allen to get reinstated and put him through the series of drills he used last year to turn him around. I get where people might think he doesn't care because Santana is stone faced on the mound. You can't tell if he is having his best game or his worst game by his face. Maybe he is better suited to poker.

Santana had a decent stretch of games last season. In 17 starts an even 4.00 ERA, 7 W 5 L, 104 hits allowed in 108 IP (not bad) 82 K, OBA .253 (respectable) and 1.30 WHIP (also respectable). If he had pitched to those stats this season, the Twins would have 5 or 6 more wins during his starts. As it is, the team is looking at an "L" every time he takes the mound.

This season, 5.10 ERA, in 65.1 IP he has allowed 77 hits, OBA .300 (terrible) and a 1.50 WHIP. He is closer to Phil Hughes type numbers. Hughes ERA at 5.95, OBA .315 and 1.51 WHIP.

YIKES! TR sure knows how to pick em' and waste team money spent on veteran players, especially pitchers. As it is, virtually none of the rostered veteran players are having a decent season. Joe Mauer has been respectable, but has not produced 1B type numbers that you would hope for.

Sounds like a rough outing...But how he only gave up 3 runs in 3 innings and giving up 89 hits is baffling me...

Is that two games in a row with a walk for Rosario.

yes

Not only that, it's 4 walks in the last 5 games at Roch. 2 in a row, none June 12, now 2 in a row again.

He also has six hits in that time frame, w/3 strikeouts

Not surprisingly, his OBP has jumped from .317 to .353

Bring him up now!

(Only if his swinging rate out of the strike zone has improved significantly)

Roch's ERA as a team is 3.45

And with that lineup, whichis "decent",I honestly think they could win a number of series with the Twins.

Can't hit outside the city limits of Rochester, NY. Much like when TR told me Johan Santana can't pitch north of Latin America.

I honestly think the Rochester team would be at least as competitive as the Twins are. The Red Wings pitching staff could not possibly be worse, at least the starting pitching rotation.

Ed, are there any minor league pitching prospects who are close to making the jump to the ML level at least as a tryout? We have seen Berrios and he seems to be over-matched. Kohl Stewart? Wheeler?

Wouldn't it be nice if once, just once, the Twins realized that veterans are expendable.....trade Suzuki when his trade value his high and go with the younger players.

I really don't think we could do any worse on the win loss side of the ledger.
